A hard reset is to disconnect the high voltage power, disconnect the 12v power, wait 3 to 5 minutes then reconnect in reverse order.

I was hoping someone who did the OTA update to 42.1 would chime in. Doing the update @ the SvC might mean they still did a hard reset. Again TIA

Sounds similar to our problem. Loss of power steering? If so, tell the Mt. Kisco ScC to call Dublin CA. It's a 5 minute fix (at least it was for me two times). I know the second time was immediately after a software update. I'm pretty sure the first time was also, but can't confirm that 100%...
