    Parking sensor error!

Can't comment on the parking sensors as decided not to get them but on the 3G signal I would suggest calling up Tesla if you loose signal again. We lost signal early after delivery during what was described as a service provider reset of the SIM card and went in to have the SIM card changed...

[On-Going] Model S-friendly & Best Car Park List

Yau Ma Tei Carpark (hope the embed shows up). They have EV bays (which are generally taken by ICE cars), the ramps are wide and though some of the parking spots are quite snug (particularly some of those on the way down), the ones on the way up are adequate for MS with wiggle room on both...

Charger solution on private car parking space

Indeed ... they are familiar about it but I presume they are operating on the assumption that their chargers are meant for any type of car (as I mentioned these chargers are more for multi-user situations) so they haven't modified them to fit Tesla only. Seems they forgot I was a private user...

Charger solution on private car parking space

IMPORTANT: So we got our Model S and merrily prepared everything at home for our first charging session outside Tesla. Much to our surprise (and dismay) our single phase 32A charger (from HKEV) ONLY delivered 16A of current to our single on board charger on the Tesla. Now, given that we...

Charger solution on private car parking space

Sweet ... I think certain managing agents / developers have more discretion. In our development if we had more people who wanted EV cars we could have pooled our resources and upgraded the supply station (or applied more communal pressure). In any case, took delivery today of the car and...

Charger solution on private car parking space

In our case the installation cost was HKD 6,300.00 which covered everything except the EV Charger. We ended up getting an EV Charger from HKEV Power (they have them manufactured - EVC 32N) which is on the expensive side (HKD 23,000) as they are really for shared usage rather individual usage...

Charger solution on private car parking space

No separate meter, in our case the EV charger (from HK EV Power) we installed 'meters' our monthly usage which is then downloaded and a service invoice is prepared. Though we would have preferred our own meter (ultimately the electricity is cheaper this way --- though as we know electricity is...

Hong Kong owners - How long are you expecting to keep your Model S?

Same here, 5 to 7 years for me. As long as the performance of the car isn't significantly compromised with time I suspect any upgrade / replacement will be a function of what is available in the future.

Charger solution on private car parking space

Hi All, New to the forum and thought I would share my experience with EV Charging in a private estate. We put in our order for MS late 2013 and are due to get it Oct 2014. We live in a private estate in Tai Wai and own our car parking space (covered). We initially contacted HKEV Power to...
