    Model Year 2024 Model Y

Just got my MYP VIN today at 4:10 EST and it's a "P" = 2023. Upside: will be low miles for a 2023 :)

With transfer of FUSC, which Model Y should I get?

Would you mind sharing what the paperwork stipulated? as in, did it state the transfer will remain with owner and no longer be valid if vehicle ownership is transferred and/or the vehicle losing FUSC will be "pay-as-you go"... Really appreciate you going through the process for the rest of us...

NJ to So Fla to Disney and back with kids

Did the same last year, agree with Tesla long distance road tripping. The DoubleTree in NC is awesome! Did you get a chance to stop at Buc-ee's in Florence, SC? Worth taking a road trip for that experience alone :)! Was most of your drive day or night? We did night (there and back) we had a...

    7 seat waiting room

Correct, seats bolt onto the battery pack making general assembly easier. Although, that's not the main reason for the handling being better. Handling comes from the combination of front and rear casts tied to a structural battery pack giving the chassis a single longitudinal lower mass. This in...

AWDs out of Austin have been configured for front and rear single frame casts with the 4680 structural battery pack integrating everything into a single chassis. No other factory is set up this way. Keep in mind, Austin has been slowly ramping MYLR (2170 config/rear cast only) and my guess at...

Buying a ‘23 MY Standard Range - Please educate me

Not in DC area but close (~100 miles north of DC). Like you, I was part of the early Feb 8/9 AWD pre-production orders and picked mine up yesterday Mar 18th. I got a VIN Mar 8th and my EDD changed from TBD to Mar 18th - 25th. Then on Mar 13th got the email to schedule delivery, choices were 18th...

Buying a ‘23 MY Standard Range - Please educate me

Congrats!!! Keep in mind EVs are no different than ICE vehicles. In other words, the faster you go the more energy gets consumed. The AWDs start with lower range so depending on your driving style you can go through energy quickly. The car recommends staying below 70 mph. Colder outside...

    23 MYAWD (MYSR) order

@chucktaylur you may have to resubmit your trade-in again as it's expired. Not sure if you've done that. You can also let the SA know you have a trade-in and they can reset or start the process again.

    23 MYAWD (MYSR) order

I believe the guidance gets down to the minerals being used in cell production. Even though 4680s are made in Austin, the minerals are being sourced elsewhere outside the US so the vehicle would not qualify for the full $7500 after the guidance is issued.

    Loan on app

I'd assume that if you select change then you'd have the option of going cash or finance. That's all the change function does. I don't think it starts a new application. You'd have to reach out to the txt number and ask them to shift things around if you wanted or start a new application. You...

    Loan on app

@HitchHiker71 - I've never applied for Tesla financing and always used third party for finance. I believe the "change" button is if you want to do "cash" or "finance" if you choose finance then I believe the application process starts, not sure what happens if there is a pending application. If...

    7 seat waiting room

I live in a state with no direct Tesla sales. I have to drive to a neighboring state that has direct sales to pick up and have done so three times. Each time used Plaid to pay and bring the vehicle back. Not sure what rules you reference and how they apply to payments?

    7 seat waiting room

You can literally pay in the app the day of pickup after you perform a thorough inspection. They have a third party service called "Plaid" which links to your bank account and performs a ACH transfer and takes 3 business days to deduct from your bank account. You can also do a cashiers check and...
