    Taptes Center Console Delivered Today

Does this install directly on the yacht floor, or does the yacht floor have to be removed?

    Autoexpanding maps gone

You know how the nav maps change size depending on whether you’re on the freeway versus surface streets? Well I seem to have lost that ability. Now the maps just stay the same size regardless of where I am. I clearly did something wrong, but I don’t know what it is. I’ve tried resetting the...

    Tire Repair Sealant

That’s what I thought, too. Our SC says no, though.

    Tire Repair Sealant

Well, I just had the opportunity to use my tire repair kit and tire sealant today (although I think the hold in the tire was too big for the sealant to be effective). Nevertheless, I need another bottle of the sealant, and I can't seem to find a place that sells the sealant without the entire...

    Coincidence? I don't think so...

Truly - I was just joking about the planned obsolescence!

    Coincidence? I don't think so...

3 year ownership with 58000 miles, just over the mileage limit for warranty, and the MCU dies. If I were the suspicious type, I'd assume that this was an evil manufacturing ploy, but I'll remain optimistic. Anyway, for those that have had this experience, how long can I expect repairs to take...

Will regular autopilot 1.0 driving keep pace with 2.5?

If AP1 stayed as it is, I'd be happy. On the other hand, what about the promised off-ramp capabilities for versions 8.0 and 8.1? I still don't see a technical reason why AP1 can't be updated to take freeway off-ramps based on turn signals or routing.

    Software Update 2018.24.1 12dd099

Can't agree, but I'm glad it's working out for you!

    Software Update 2018.24.1 12dd099

Installed this morning on AP1. Noted the speed limitation setting (not too applicable for me, personally) New maps - definitely more gray scale (blue water and green trees are now gone), without any noticeable improved rendering speed or detail Nags slightly improved on straightaways (gone from...

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

I think that’s mostly the point. I’m fine with “hand on the wheel,” but as you correctly point out, that’s often not enough on long, straight roads where you don’t add a lot of torque. I think that updates should add something to the driving experience, and the AP1 drivers haven’t seen that on...

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

I agree, @fasteddie7. No appreciable improvement in any respect, but more nags. I don’t think the promised AP1 freeway exits will happen, and if all we get is more restrictions without any improvements, I see no need in downloading any further updates.

    Software Update 2018.21.9 75bdbc11

Looking bad. Nothing new on the “what’s new” page, and NO mention of slowing down for exits or interchanges. I’m on AP1. I fear that with the reported increase nags, I’ve just downloaded a downgrade without any new functionality.

Auto Unlock fails under what conditions?

For the first time in 3 years of owning my vehicle, auto-unlock didn’t operate as I approached my vehicle. Probably 5 or 6 attempts at getting the handles to extend failed as I approached the car, but the car unlocked and presented the handles immediately with two clicks of the fob. Of note, my...

Here it is the new Tesla Maps ( coming this weekend? )

Well, I got the map update last night, but I notice that the Google logo on the center console map is still there. I thought they were using a source other than Google for this update. The IC display update will take a little getting used to, but overall, it seems ok. The upcoming street names...
