    Repairing residential wall charger

My 2018 72 amp wall unit quit working after a lightening strike to my house. I quickly ordered a new unit (not near as powerful) $500+ install. A few days ago, I read that the chargers have a built-in surge protecter. I didn't ask my electrician to check to old unit. Does anyone have any...

New Tesla wall charger a ripoff

Thanks for for the reply. My new Tesla wall charger averages 36 KW vs. the 72KW on my old one and I only had to pay ten dollars more! I would never buy after market for my 100D, keep the faith my friend.

New Tesla wall charger a ripoff

Had to replace my original wall unit (Sept'18) due to lightening strike. The new is rated at 48 amps...my old unit delivered 80 amps. I know,I should have read the specs. In my defense, it was the only unit shown and I was in a hurry. Does anyone have any after market experience with wall...

Blog Model S is First EPA-Rated EV to Hit 400 Miles of Range

Here's an idea for Tesla: how about giving us earlier model 100D owners that 400 mile range so we can drive from Little Rock to OKC on I- 40. They boast about all these thousands of SC's but, we have zero SC's between Little Rock and OKC. Instead of announcing new range updates how about...

Travel update requested: Little Rock to San Diego via Southern Rt

Tesla Anywhere shows my SC locations via the southern route to San Diego...would appreciate any guidance regarding maintenance or bad chargers on this route. FYI, was told Tesla was awaiting final permitting for Clarksville and Ft. Smith, AR (desperately needed I-40 West locations). I called...

    I-40 through Arkansas?

For those who own a Chademo adaptor ($450 Tesla), an hour or so at the Clarksville Electrify America to gain 40 miles, still leaves about 200 miles to OKC SC (West Reno St). It defies logic that Tesla continues to make East/West I-40 travel though Arkansas so difficult.

    I-40 through Arkansas?

As a Little Rock resident, my 100D has plenty of range to travel comfortably all directions except WEST! WhenI bought my S (Sept '18), I was told an SC location in Western AR was on the way - BTW, Tesla SC location map has shown several I-40 west locations "coming soon," for years...very...

    Tesla Ccs-chademo Adaptor For S

Thanks for all the replies re: CHAdeMO. Tesla offers this adaptor for $450 - not worth my money for the limited times I might need it.

    Tesla Ccs-chademo Adaptor For S

Yes, I've used my 1772 several times @about 18-19KW. I was thinking about reported CHAdeMO numbers whenI wrote this....I wasn't aware Tesla offered a domestic CHAdeMO adaptor. Thanks for the correction

    Tesla Ccs-chademo Adaptor For S

I also have the J-1772 adaptor @ -+50 KW. The CCS-CHAdeMO is supposed to deliver up to 150KW - unable to find on Tesla web

    Tesla Ccs-chademo Adaptor For S

Looking for info re:CCS-CHAdeMO adaptor availability (USA) for my S. Several Walmart Supercenters offer Electrify America charging sites in Arkansas. No SC stations on I-40 in the state, thus always looking for charging opportunities going west.
