    2020.12.11.5 firmware is released.

On my 2015 it did. It also fixed the problem of the heat/air shutting off every time the car turned off.

This truck design had better be a joke....

How could it not be a joke? The shape bears no resemblance to reported test mules, and is nothing like the pickup in the "bed" of the Semi. The most telling thing is the $100 deposit. When has any Tesla had a $100 deposit?

Love Tesla. Love my car. Wish Tesla would please fix the USB Audio Player.

I put my USB stick in yesterday, and it USB audio is working again. I have no idea when they fixed it.

    Up Lowered Ms Ride Quality

The Model S was engineered to ride 3/4" lower than the current "low" setting. They raised the minimum ride height after someone damaged the battery on the highway and it caught fire. They also added additional protection for the battery. I plan on lowering my S by 3/4" all the way around under...

    Northeast Iowa EV Festival

Thanks for the post. I think I'll come down. My wife has a friend in from out of town, so I should get the okay. My P85DL has the executive rear seats, so rear facing seats weren't an option for me. I went to register for the event, but they want cars there by 8:45. With a stop in Rochester to...

Air suspension always acts like is, or is it new?

My 2015 P85D has always done this. I set it to Low, exceed the automatic lowering speed, then once I get below the automatic lowering speed it goes to Normal. The service center said to turn off automatic lowering and have it always set to Low. It works.

    Fancy new trim??

I've removed many panels over the years as a DIY'er. The plastic clips every manufacturer uses seem to hold the panels slightly less tight after going through a removal/reinstall cycle. I learned early on to replace all of them when you take a panel off. It avoids the worst case scenario of...

    Replace TPMS sensors yourself

I just upgraded my wheels on my Gen 1. The mechanic didn't keep track of which sensor came from where, so all four were in a new location. The car freaked out thinking all 4 had zero air pressure. There is a button saying something like "New Sensors". Fixed everything in a few seconds.

    To De-Badge or not?

If you wax the car yourself, removing the badging makes it easier and quicker. Dirt tends to gather in the tight spots in the letters, so even washing is easier without them.

How do clear "replace 12v battery" warning?

I got the warning. The battery was fine. It was caused by my car being in a sleep state for a long time. Since the battery wasn't being charged, the voltage dropped below some threshold. Once that happens you need to have the service center do the reset. They advised me that when I'm away from...

    Dark/Black Chrome on Chrome trim

Heh. That's where I get almost all my vinyl wrap. Only positive things to say about them. I've been very happy with the Avery Supreme material. Never used any of their chrome products. Not very fond of the shiney.

    chrome delete: matte vs satin

Typically, matte has the shortest longevity, gloss the longest. If that matters to you, ask the installer.

    Key fob with profile settings?

Maybe that's why updates take so long to turn around. My recommendation to Telsa would be to default to the last driver profile unless that fab is not present in the vehicle. Over a 2 year period, I can't think of a single time I was in the car and my wife was the driver.

    Comprehensive USB Bug List

Other than the breakup issue, my biggest gripe is my S seems to love playing 10 or so songs. To make the situation worse, my wife really doesn't care for two of them. My S is 2 years old, and played a song last week for the first time, one that I must have put on the thumb drive by mistake. If...

    Tire rotation

Only reason I've ever heard for not using anti cease grease on wheel studs is if an impact wrench is used to tighten the nuts, you increase the chance that you could over torque the nuts. Rational humans hand tighten using a torque wrench. In Northern states, you pretty much need to use...
