Can somebody please explain to me how Tesla AWD works? Thank you.

Hi Folks: I saw this thread, and hopefully one of you who are much more familiar with AWD control systems than me can provide some insight. I have a M3P stealth. I have a fairly steep driveway (~10-11% grade) that has a 70-80 degree turn on the uphill. On occasion, my car momentarily loses...

Michelin Primacy MXM 4 235/45 R18 OEM tire life

I recently put these tires on my M3P Stealth (18" tires). I've also had them on a Model S. I've got 2000 miles on them and I'd say my efficiency hit is closer to 15%. Part of this is the cooler weather, but overall I'm seeing ~40 W/mile difference from the OEM tires. Tires are inflated to 42...

    Tire pressure warning calibration?

I experienced the same issue earlier this week. I was still getting warning messages after I aired the tires from 39/40 lbs to 44 lbs. I reset the MCU and it cleared the warnings.

error message "Lane departure assistance limited"

+1, driving into the low morning sun sets this warning off for me.

    V10 for non FSD

I have EAP but no FSD. I was gone over the weekend without my P3D Stealth (it was parked in the garage on wifi). No notifications over the weekend. Got home, changed software update setting to "Advanced" and had the update notification within an hour. Now updated to V10.

    Lane departure avoidance limited

Same happens to me. It only happens when I am facing the sun when the sun is at a low angle (i.e. early morning or close to sunset). Don't know if this is expected behavior.

    Lane departure avoidance limited

I've gotten this warning a few times since getting the .24 update too. Haven't been able to correlate it with any specific driving behaviors yet. The message will come up for about 10 seconds then generally goes away.

ELECTREK: Tesla starts limiting charge to 80% at busy Superchargers to reduce wait times

I got the "Max battery charge of 80%" message this morning at the Atascadero, CA SC. A little surprising as I don't consider this SC generally very busy, and this morning I was the only car charging... I can understand this policy for busy and/or close to full SCs (and Tesla knows how many...

    How to clean sunscreen stains?

I've had similar problems with sunscreen. Auto interior cleaners and diluted Simple Green didn't help much. But as a previous poster suggested, rubbing alcohol works well on the seats (I just tried it yesterday). Other Tesla forums suggested that the source material for the Model 3 seats is...

    Confirm PUP $5000 refund thread

I also got a check in the mail today for the tax amount without requesting a tax refund.

    Cyclists?

I load my road bike in my M3 multiple times a week and don't need to take the front wheel off unless I'm putting a bunch of other stuff in the trunk. When I'm loading the bike, I do put a towel over the bottom of the trunk opening to avoid scratching the car when sliding the bike in. With...

Is anyone experiencing long boot up time for Model 3?

I'm also on 2018.48.12.1, and this happens to me as well. It was happening maybe once every day or two, although it hasn't happened in the last several days now that I think about it.

    Is your Slacker working?

This happened to me today where it was asking me to sign back in to my Slacker account, and when I did it said it couldn't log me in because a "Captcha was required to log in. Please contact service." I didn't try rebooting, but went to my Slacker account on my computer where it immediately...

Confirm Performance Stealth (non-PUP) $5,000 refund

I emailed Tesla on 12/21/18 (after originally being denied because I didn't have PUP) for the refund and received email confirmation that I was now eligible shortly after. Refund check arrived today. I'm very impressed on how Tesla cleaned this situation and process up.
