Got a text from my SA today that the car is on its way to Chicago and that we're still on track for a delivery sometime next week.

Got my VIN yesterday and got a call today from my Cherry Hill SA - was told "very tentatively" to expect delivery the first week in November (they will have a firmer date once the car arrives in Chicago and said I should expect to hear from them a couple of times between now and delivery). Seeing a lot of cars getting VINs - especially on the East Coast. Casual observation: I think almost all have 19" Gemini wheels. Maybe the 20s are delayed. I ordered a LR with 20s on 9/13 to NJ - still no VIN.

I think you're right, jeffbco re the dryer! Anyhow, got a second opinion and the electrician (who is highly reputable/been in business in my area for decades) said it's no problem to do a "twin" off of another circuit and he can get me 240 v/50 a (so about 30 mph). Pretty psyched. About $800...
