    Thoughts on model y release

India is RHD, and also happens to be geographically in the middle of most markets that have RHD. My guess would be that longer term, all RHD versions will get produced out of the India Gigafactory.

Model S Refresh and Existing Orders

Basically, there will be no new S or X in Aus for the next 12 months?

    Tesla 2021 Australian Supercharger Rollout

Interesting question - here are some stats: https://electricvehiclecouncil.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/EVC-State-of-EVs-2020-report.pdf EVs Sold (page 14): 2019 sales for NSW and VIC are roughly the same at 832 and 815, respectively. Charging Infrastructure (page 38): NSW does have a...

New EV Charge Stations For North West Victoria

Geez, hopefully this announcement gets the Mansfield one moving along.

    v. 2020.32.3 - Model X Close Windows

Thanks for confirming. That's quite strange they would release it for 3 &Y but not yet have it working on the X & S. It would seem to be a relatively simple implementation - but I am not a programmer so what do I know. Anyway, my wife tends to be more careless about not checking the windows on...

    v. 2020.32.3 - Model X Close Windows

Is it just me or does the new software for auto-close windows on lock not work for Model X?

    Tesla Cybertruck in Australia

I want to own a Cybertruck so bad. The only problem for me is the size - I just don’t need something so big while doing mostly city driving with narrow lanes and tight underground parking. The whole design package is great, I love the angular look and that raw steel finish is going to start a...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Not sure of the full history of your interactions but I gotta admit I too have been close to spitting the dummy and cancelling orders for 2 cars after waiting several months. Now that I have them though, I am very glad to have stuck it through and would not change them for any other car...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Yes, same issue here on Model 3 and Model X - both on v2019.32.12.2. Logs into the premium account fine, loads up playlists and favourites etc. all fine, initial few songs seem to play fine. The problem starts when you start skipping songs, or jumping ahead in the playlist. It just hangs...

    Model 3 Accessories

Quick review guys. So I bought one of these thinking it would help resolve the problem of my water bottle constantly knocking around and falling over in the stock cup holders. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000113508235.html You can think of this more as a stubby for your bottle/cup rather...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Thanks for confirming. I am supportive of the simplification/streamlining and all of that, but I can't help but feel this is a liability. Visual confirmation that a car is reversing shouldn't require more than a split second glance from either side of a vehicle.

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

I just noticed that my SR+ has the reverse (white) light on the passenger side only. Can other owners please chime in? Is this normal or do I need to book in a service check? Edit: confusion ensues after checking that our Model X has reverse lights symmetrically on both sides.

    Model 3 Accessories

I am waiting on the same charger! :p Also thought about putting a PD/QC spec powerbank inbetween to enable 10W of wireless power but I read elsewhere that in-car temperatures during summer could result in potential fire issues unless the battery is LiFePo4. Maybe the risk is merely theoretical...

    Tesla Model 3 in Australia

Also finding the TACC to be amazingly polished in 99% of cases. The Auto Steer does get worrying in city streets and I have needed to step in to avoid issues from people suddenly cutting in and neighbouring cars not sticking to their lanes. That said, it is not officially intended for suburban...

    Model 3 Accessories

I wasn't keen on any of the rubber/TPU mats for the car. For our climate, we don't need such hardcore waterproofing and having rubber mats in what is supposed to be a luxury/premium segment sedan makes it look too utilitarian (and a bit trashy IMHO). Who would consider putting rubber interior...
