Well, reason I knew they didn't shut it off actually, is because if the car is on and the switch is off, the app says "Remote access is disabled". If the car had the battery pulled, and I couldn't even ping it, the Tesla app just stayed at Waking car...which is what made me suspicious.

Actually wasn't too bad and they are known apparently in the area for doing higher end cars too so I felt better when this all first started. Of course it happens to my baby. :)

Yes, since it was the turnpike, Tesla themselves by law could not come out, so they instructed the guy over the phone on what to do and I luckily had my bag with me that had it in. This I'm not quite sure, I was only provided a basic "hi, your car smoked, pinched wires, something melted" call...

Call me crazy, but when I saw the car go offline while in Suburban (yes I tracked the car, who wouldn't), I had a feeling that's what they did. I assumed that was normal process, although found that to be quite a cumbersome process, almost like a heart transfusion, but for a car!

The update is here! Took delivery two weeks ago. Car was just returned from the service center, so maybe they sprinkled some magically dust on the X.

Good to hear! I hate to make them come out two hours for a quick fix but they instited a ranger couldn't do it. The other passenger side FWD also rattles inside the cabin when driving, and it sounds like it's near the top window of the door. Not sure what's going on there.

Picked up my P90D a week ago and so far no issues. Only complaint I have, and I guess the excitement made me deaf on delivery day, was a horrible creek when my driver side FWD opens. It's gotten worse since delivery. I'm two hours away from the Cleveland service center and they good willed...

Wow do I feel like an idiot! I never knew that, and I guess Tesla didn't ether! Still needs falcon wing door creek fix, but that's a cool feature now that I know there is nothing wrong! Phew! And thank you this car impresses me every second (and everyone else I pass by!)

Hi all, Just took delivery of a P90D and besides a creeking falcon wing door when opening, the car is perfect. Although, when I drive above 40mph, there is a very abnoxious and obvious vibration that lasts about 2 seconds and happens quite often. I think I counted 6 times in a span of 40...
