    What's your Tesla (origin) story?

I stumbled across Tesla in 2013. Firstly seeing Model S test drive reactions in the US and then following up on this guy called Elon Musk. I watched a few videos of him giving talks (such as to the Royal Society in the UK). I was telling my family at dinner about this amazing electric car and...

    Model 3 Seat Comfort

It took me two weeks to find a comfortable driving position in my Model Y. The problem was with the lumbar adjustment. The controls are not intuitive and it seemed that the lumbar support never deflated properly into a neutral position once either the upper or lower support had been inflated. It...

    Credit Card Errors

I'm in the UK and received a message from Tesla an hour ago saying that my supercharging account doesn't have a valid payment method. My credit card details seemed to have disappeared from the system. This was followed by a second e-mail from Tesla saying that my Tesla Supercharging Access is...

    How did this happen?

Ask and ye shall be given.... Looks like a solution - just made available in the Model S OTA update 2020.32.1 in the US CAR LEFT OPEN NOTIFICATIONS A mobile notification will be sent if the trunk, the front trunk, or any door is left open for over ten minutes. If all doors and trunks are...

    How do you enable this?

    How did this happen?

This is a real issue and compromises passive entry. The worst case is if the car appears to lock (beeps horn, folds mirrors etc) but actually isn't locked. This shouldn't be allowed to happen. In the case where the car doesn't signal that it is locked when you walk away but you don't notice...

    How did this happen?

I have the honk thing set too, but sometimes its easy to get distracted. I've tweeted Elon with the suggestion to get an alert from the app if it happens. Long shot, but hey.

    How did this happen?

I think this is very probably what happened. If the car can't be maliciously unlocked then it most probably remained unlocked when outside of bluetooth range. The alternative explanation, that the phone was too close to the car from inside the house and therefore unlocked it has not been proved...

    How did this happen?

Thanks for the replies. At least no one is suggesting that passive entry can be compromised, which is what most concerned me. So it is in all probability a). And yes, parking here is expensive. Four hours down by the river cost me £7.50 today. Paid for by phone!

    How did this happen?

I have had my Tesla Model 3 for just over a year now (LR Dual Motor). I live in Twickenham and the car is parked overnight directly in front of my house. There has never been any security issues until this week when I discovered that all the change I keep in the storage box in the central...

    2019/20 Orders and Deliveries [closed]

I had a similar noise at high speeds. Took it in for service and they knew what it was straight away - a loose hose which fed water to the windscreen wipers had not been clipped in properly at the factory. Took 30 secs to fix.

Intermittent rattle from left edge of dash

Does the rattle only happen at higher speeds? I had a similar issue which turned out to be a loose hose (which feeds water to the windscreen wipers) which had not been clipped in correctly at the factory. Took 30 seconds to identify and fix at the service centre.

West Drayton/Heathrow Sept month end pickups

I guess getting my car in July had its advantages....they drove it to my home!

Anyone received a VIN with 19” wheels?

I was obviously lucky....and they do look great!
