Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

The tire shop returned the credit back to me themselves. I wasn't able to go through the proper tire manufacturer warranty process because my tires were no longer in possession. This was a one-off for me because of the mileage warranty discrepancy between their system and my original receipt.

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

I think this was a special case for me. The tire shop told me the Ion Evo did not come with a warranty which resulted me in buying the Pirelli. I did think to myself it was odd of me to originally buy tires without a warranty so I went home and found my original receipt. The receipt clearly said...

Luckily, I did manage to get them warrantied. Had some issues at first but ended up getting credited.

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

Follow up to my original post, I just replaced the Hankook Ion EVO AS on my 2018 LR RWD Model 3. Treadwear was at 2/32 in the rear and 3/32 in the front after 26,458 miles. I normally drive the car in chill mode and do lots of highway driving. Lifetime wh/mi for the tire was 226 wh/mi. I...

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

Yes, but closer to the PSAS4. I remember the MXM4 feeling like being on ice skates. It grips well but I don't feel like I'd be as confident driving it spiritedly around corners in the canyon as I did on the PSAS4. It could be the sidewalls are slightly softer than the PSAS4, but of course, what...

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

Grip and steering response are good but not as good as my PSAS4. Rolling resistance, comfort, and NVH however are greatly improved over the PSAS4. I'd say the rolling resistance, comfort, and NVH is comparable to the OEM MXM4 but grip is significantly improved. No regrets on sacrificing a little...

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

That's correct. I purchased the stock 235/40/19 96W size. The sidewalls don't sit as square as the 235/40/19 PSAS4 I had on previously and sit more similarly to the stock 18" MXM4 and 19" ProContact RX (narrower)

Hankook new iON tire, an "EV" tire (not the same as Kinergy GT)

Just got the Hankook Ion Evo AS installed on the stock 19" wheels on my Model 3 at my local America's Tire (Discount Tire). This will be the 4th set of tires for my car. Tread Depth new is 9/32. So far the tires are much quieter than my Michelin PSAS4 but those were practically bald. Efficiency...

Successful roof rack & wheel-on bike rack pairing

Can you let me know if the front mounts on the Frontloader scratched/chipped the paint finish on the Model 3 roof rack? I noticed the rear mount on the Frontloader has rubber shims to help prevent scratching but the front mount is the bare plastic tightening against the roof bar.

Supercharger - Pasadena, CA (LIVE 26 Nov 2019, 24 urban stalls)

You don't have to purchase anything. I went up to the counter and asked the cashier if they validate parking tickets and she pointed me to the machine. It's a white box located on the check-out counter in the women's section.

Supercharger - Pasadena, CA (LIVE 26 Nov 2019, 24 urban stalls)

That's correct. I have always gone to the Starbucks in The Paseo mall to have the ticket validated.

The first 90 minutes is free but you'll have to get the ticket validated at a nearby shop/restaurant like Starbucks. Otherwise, like what @gaswalla said, you can go during off the off hours when the garage gates are sometimes left open and unattended.

    Supercharger - Kettleman City, CA (LIVE 15 Nov 2017, 24 V2 + 16 V3 stalls, lounge)

Stopped by Kettleman City last night during my road trip from SoCal. Arrived with about 50 miles of range and hit 230kw for a split second before it tapered down to 200. Guess you need to really live life on the edge in order to see that 250!
