    Random Roadster Sightings

Qualicum Beach has two parking spots at city hall with 120v (5-15) and 240v (L6-20) plugs, the city has a Leaf and Volt on order so they will soon have a standard J1772 also! (I had to charge up in the town machine shop, they had a good old 14-50 plug!) Seattle to Qualicum beach is...

Charging at Campgrounds and RV Parks

I think the MC240 will work with an adapter like this. then a 2 hour charge up at 30a/120v would give 24mi range. I have not tried this adapter yet, I dont know if the MC240 will like only getting 120v

Charging at Campgrounds and RV Parks

RV parks have two common power hookups 30a/110v NEMA TT-30 plug, or "30amp" for short. 50a/220v NEMA 14-50 plug, or just "50amp" for short. The manager at the campground said they used to only have 110v/15a outlets until a few years ago!

    Charging the Roadster

Tesla battery meter lies to you.... As you know the Tesla does not fully charge or drain the battery in standard mode, it only charges the battery to 90%. I was confused because the battery "gas gauge" shows a full charge after a night of charging. If I switch to range mode with a full...

    Hydrogen vs. Battery

I am all for more cars being called EV, as long as at their base they are, it will get EVs to mass acceptance faster, and maybe someday we will also get a standard plug!

    Unofficial Tesla Roadster Owners page

My Tesla is on the same truck as Dave's. I just spent the afternoon cleaning out the garage making room for it. Dave and I ordered in Oct 2006 so it has been a long wait, but I agree with Barry everyone we have encountered at Tesla has gone above and beyond to make the experience fantastic.

    Charging the Roadster

Using two 110v plugs to charge Tesla Has anyone heard of this company, 220 240 Volts from 110 120 Volt Outlets - Catalog & Pricing, they appear to make a product that would be useful for recharging on the road.
