Tesla Powerwall II Performance Notice - turn off, we will replace

It's been a couple of months now, but back on 10/16/18 I received an e-mail from Tesla asking me to turn off one of the two Powerwall IIs that were installed in December last year. Here's the message: "Subject: Tesla Powerwall Performance Notice: INQ20181009-xxx My name is Jestee and I'm...

Roof mounted vs ground mounted solar array

I live in San Diego, exact opposite corner of the country from you, and we installed a 6.3kW ground mount solar array in April 2016. We live on an acre of land, most of it undeveloped, and we have a hillside behind and below the house that was nearly the optimal angle for a ground mount system...

Anyone get SGIP $$ back yet?

Same here. Ordered in April 2017, installed on 12/27, inspected by city on 12/29. Got the same e-mail that payment was pending a possible final onsite inspection. Got the same e-mail that they had approved my install with no onsite inspection. Then I got an e-mail indicating that a check...

    SGIP Update e-mail

Woohoo! We received our SGIP rebate yesterday! We received another e-mail from Joe Bick in the morning telling us that our incentive payment has been made. The check for $11,600 was in the afternoon mail. I immediately made a trip to the CU and deposited it!

SGIP rebate for Powerwall 2 install in SCE territory?

I just received an e-mail yesterday notifying us that our project has been approved for reimbursement and we should receive payment in approximately 30 days. This was only 10 days after receiving an e-mail indicating that a review would be conducted and an inspection would be conducted by a...

    SGIP Update e-mail

I just received an e-mail from Joe Bick, project coordinator, Self-Generation Incentive Program at Center for Sustainable Energy. Apparently my Telsa Powerwall project (2x Powerwall 2) has been approved for payment and I should receive the payment in approximately 30 days! No site inspection...

    SGIP Update e-mail

Update: Checked the SGIP website under "Real-Time Public Report" and it now shows an interconnect date for my installation of 1/2/18 where previously it showed nothing. It was actually turned on on 12/27/17, and it appears that the holidays delayed the actual interconnect date. Payment dates...

Ordered a Powerwall even when lacking ROI or common sense

I did a Tesla overnight test drive Monday night from their showroom in La Jolla, CA. I was chatting with someone in the showroom about the Powerwall, telling that I've had two installed since December. I asked about backlog and they said "probably the end of next year"!

With 2 Powerwalls and plenty of solar, why am I using slight amt of grid power?

What utility is that? You list your location as "California". Why not just indicate what utility you're talking about and list the city you live in as your location? Makes it so much easier to address questions.

Powerwall disconnected from WiFi and forced a cellular connection

Care to enlighten me? I've read the PVOutput documentation and my understanding is that when the Powerwall is getting it's Internet connection from your WiFi and you're running the PVOutput process on a PC, it queries the Powerwall on the IP address that the Powerwall is using. How does...
