    New California car pool laws?

Understood. However if the HOV lane is bumper to bumper traffic (which I've seen more and more often in the SF Bay Area), there's no incentive for anyone to take actions to be eligible to use that lane.

    New California car pool laws?

Your understanding of the program is correct. Check the DMV website https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/vr/decal It says quite clearly: 22. Q: My vehicle was eligible and issued clean air decals prior to January 1, 2017; can I apply for new decals after January 1, 2019, when my white...

    Ordered M3--Smart phone next?

Current model 3 owner here. If you tap on the Tesla T menu, the Tesla roadside assistance number is shown. However, if you don't have a phone paired to the car via Bluetooth and you try to call roadside assistance by tapping on the number, all you get is a message saying that you need to...

    App Connection down?

Re: the API, they're trying. from monitoring the network traffic from my car to Tesla, I can see that the traffic to Tesla's VPN stopped at 7:30am Pacific. It then worked again briefly around 2pm Pacific, but has not worked since.

    App Connection down?

Bluetooth is short range. Unless you're within Bluetooth's range, you need a server side solution anyway. So you have to engineer this twice, implement it twice, add new features on it twice, test it twice for every change, for the low number of times that there's an actual outage. And you...

    App Connection down?

The cars normal Security is one. If your phone gets stolen, Tesla can invalidate your API keys and passwords centrally from the server side, disabling any app access.

    Software Update 2018.14

Have been a software engineer for years. One good practice I always had was never release (or accelerate an existing release) on a Friday. Just less folks around to support it on weekends.

Yup! Better touchscreen and browser is here!

In this case is similar to a software update, the first time you get in the car after the navigation update, new release notes appear describing the navigation update. It's not just new map data, it's a new nav system and new map data.

    Firmware Update 2018.12

It looks like some changes may have happened to TuneIn. Some podcasts which wouldn't play at all now play. Oddly, it's only some episodes which work...for example, the latest (March 29th) episode of "Stuff You Should Know" now works, where this podcast hadn't worked at all for some time...

iOS 11.2.6 intended to fix phone key issues?

My wife and I have iPhones and haven't had any issues with using the phone as a key. However tucked away in the release notes of iOS 11.2.6 (out today to fix the issues with crashing on certain chracter strings), there was this item: Sounds like could apply to the Model 3 key issues? Would...

2017.50.13 550ee35 "Supercharging Option Not Enabled"

Screen cleaning mode was there before 50.13.

    2017.50.13.550ee35 build, what's new?

My Model 3 received this build while at the service center overnight, since I don't have the car have no way of telling what's in it. Does anyone have an idea?
  14. T

Already on 50.11 but just got an update notification.

    50.10 had scheduled charging.

Already on 50.11 but just got an update notification.

Full version is 50.12 b707518. No obvious changes. It could be the backup camera change I suppose but it's hard for me to tell. @dhu1 Model 3's still don't even have a spot in the UI for release notes yet :-)
