Tire Blew Out on PLAID - 1.5 month wait on tires ?!

Someone on our Facebook group had trouble finding a tire recently, but I found a falken that worked on Amazon with prime delivery while he waited for the correct one to come in stock. https://www.amazon.com/Falken-Azenis-Performance-Tire-295-30R21XL/dp/B07K8YTQNB

Rattle noise coming from front Air Suspension (2017-18)

I think my rattle sound is back. Had it repaired at 6,000 miles, currently at 14,500 miles, 17 months later.

New tires needed after less than 30k miles

The owners manual says to rotate the tires every 6,250 miles. I think you would have caught the uneven wear when you rotated them.

Model Y review from Model S/X driver

A few weeks ago we tested the Y performance and it was really sluggish off the line, but I’m use to an S P100D everyday. I think it’s due to the permanent magnet motors vs the ac inductive motors in the s/x. Overall I found the Y to be basically a larger 3 with power hatch. Not worth it for us...

This is my Biggest concern being a Tesla Owner

Years ago someone keyed my base model used BMW 3 series that cost $18k. A lot of people can't even afford food, so no matter what you have, you'll have to live with people lashing out at times.

Pulled the trigger on Jaguar i-pace as second EV

Congrats! That sounds like a great deal. Can you comment on the quality of the nav/touch screen UI? I read it is slow and hard to use.

    Take rate of Performance Option

Does anyone have an estimate of the take rate of the performance option vs the regular/long range models? In traditional car companies, I read that it's very low like 1 out of 10, but Tesla is much higher.

Service center experience: trading my 3 in for a Mercedes

All the German dealers around us require appointments about 2 weeks out to get a loaner. So Tesla is about the same. I’ve always received loaners from Marietta, Georgia. After we got a P100D I have received all P loaners. Though they tend to be used cars waiting to be sold rather than current...

What happens if everyone drove EV?

It gets cheaper all the time. About 3 years ago it was around $4/watt installed, now it’s around $2.

Keep my Model S or get a Model Y?

Check this range table: Tesla Range Table - Teslike.com 100D with 19" wheels should have a rated range of 335 miles, 319 miles in real world.

Keep my Model S or get a Model Y?

In some ways the current AP tech is not as good as AP1. For me, going from a 2016 to a 2018 with AP2.5, it's not as smooth on the highway and has way more phantom emergency braking than our AP1. The newer system also doesn't read speed limit signs, it uses the database and it's not very...

    Removing the rear seat completely

If anyone is still interested, the rear seat frame with the ouch bar is part number 1008275-00-C. I found it for about $140 online by searching for that part number, but not sure how much Tesla would charge from the parts department.

Model S Ride Comfort compared to Model 3

I had a 2016 S with 19” on the base spring suspension and the ride was better than our 3. My 2018 S has the air suspension and the ride even on 21” wheels was better. I downgraded to 20” Tsportline TSS with the Continental DWS tires and it’s even softer and a good balance for me between the 21...

    Staggered Tires on Square setup

I got the staggered Tsportline TSS 20” in December and it killed my range compared to the 21” Tesla Twin Turbine. On our frequent trips to Orlando we got 440 Wh/mi compared to 353 Wh/mile on the 21”. I’m going to try a square setup instead to see if it is better.

    "Remote Start" without cellular signal?

I get spotty signal where I park, most of the time none. What I have done is use TeslaFi to schedule preconditioning. Once the set time is met, the site tries several times about 5 minutes apart. More often than not, it works.
