    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Welcome to the game of "when will my car update", you're likely to get it sometime within the next 5minutes to a week. Although note the cars only check for an update once a day.

    Roof rack - using t-track

I regularly take my kayak cradles on and off the racks, it gets easier as the rubber strip in the t-channel gets a bit of wear. The only trick I can think of is don't unscrew the nuts on the cradles too much otherwise you are pushing the rubber down more than required when sliding them on - hope...

    Good wh/km ?

Great result, I drove Goulburn to Sydney this morning (Friday) and got 132Wh/km - stayed at the speed limit. I do have roof racks on but didn't think they'd add that much to it - might take the racks off next trip. Tire pressure was about 45-46. I did the reverse trip a while ago with tires at...

Also noticed bike lane signs on the road surface turn up in the visualisation, pretty cool.

    Speed limit detection problems

The cars don't read speed limit signs from the cameras, they read the speed limit from built in maps (I've read the maps used are openstreetmap - not sure if its verified however). Hence road works are too temporary to make it in to a map update.

    Where is the e-brake

The parking brake is pretty much automated, if you stop on a slope the car will hold it's position until you hit the accelerator again. If you hold in the button on the end of the right stalk it will engage the park brake.

How are people using their Tesla for watersport gear (surfing, kayak, etc)?

Also kayaking, I think turning off blue tooth on your phone is enough so you can leave it in the car. I'm looking to punch a hole in the key card so I can attach it to a lanyard. This x-ray shows what to avoid - note the antenna around the perimeter. Imgur

    Model 3 Accessories

The rear Tesla mat is one piece - it runs the width of the car from door to door, what it could do better is extend under the centre console.

I've got good wifi and I've left it on standard, happy to change it to advanced if it'll make a difference.
