CyberTruck may be classified as Medium Duty

Oh, man, what's your paint look like under those tent straps? I'd cringe every time cinching them down or when the wind picked up.

Cannot clean Model 3 windows for the life of me.

Huh, odd. I’ve never had a problem on either of my 3s. Invisible Glass or Meguiars should do the trick.

High sided bed not good for trailering boats.

First, yes, motorized toys like boats and personal watercraft do have emissions control systems including catalytic converters. Even some lawn mowers do. Most toys sold today are 3 or 4 star emissions compliant. Second, pleasuring myself doesn't involve my boat....well, usually. Third, most...

To you, what are the small, lesser known things that make the Model 3 just brilliant?

If you forget to engage Park and open the door, the car automatically does it for you. Nice safety feature. Hold mode. Brilliant. Just a little extra brake force automatically engages it without the need for extra button pushes or other driver input. Driver control. Between regen, tight...

    Pearl White Standard Paint?

I just looked at the Tesla configurator for the 3 and it shows Pearl White as standard with black as a $750 option. That's a little different than Elon said it would be. Are you seeing the same thing?

Is this rust on my door? Adhesive?

Adhesive, and painting over sealants/adhesive is very common. I'm OCD and would be fine with it, especially given the alternative, which would be to sand down to metal and start over....on the whole door. No way I'd want aftermarket work on pearl white if it could be avoided.

Am I the only person who thinks the Y is kinda fugly?

Design is really subjective and IMHO it's fruitless to try to convince people their opinions on it are wrong. Some like the Y, some don't. It's cool to state your own opinions on designs, but why criticize others for having a different opinion on something so subjective? For me, my next...

How to "buff" out PPF after road object impact?

Consider this a win. The purpose of the PPF was just fulfilled and your paint is safe. Nice. I’ve been able to polish out defects like you have here. Depends on the film and how deep the abrasion is. If you have access to a dual action polisher, a medium pad, and some polish, you may be...

    Panel Gap vs Audi A4

I watched the Engineering Explained YouTube video criticizing the M3 quality and was disappointed in how the creator measured gaps. He only measured in one spot per gap and eyeballed it with a caliper. I've also read complaints about Tesla gaps, which didn't match what I saw in my own M3 and...

How does every clean their model 3? Is Automatic car wash a bad idea?

Please stop quoting inaccurate information. Your detailer is wrong and you're spreading bad information, and just because the detailer only works with CQuartz does not make him somehow more qualified. Here are the facts: All Teslas start with an anti-corrosion layer over the steel/aluminum...

Battery Drained 30% overnight..Big Flaw, Easy Fix

I'm in agreement with the OP. That would be a nice feature to add if Tesla was willing. They're not required, of course, but it would be a great bonus.

Model 3 Accident, Is this car really safe to drive?

My father in law fell asleep at the wheel of his Explorer on I-80 doing 75 MPH with cruise on, and drifted off the highway. He woke up after hitting a light pole and fortunately remained composed enough to not swerve but rather brake straight and true. The pole ripped through the entire engine...

My model 3 hit a deer

Glad you're okay. Cars and things can be replace or fixed. I too am curious about whether or not the car saw it before you did. It sounds more like the deer hit you than you hit the deer, so I'm guessing the car didn't react. My Subaru's Eyesight has saved my bacon once and that made the...

    Removing tape residue - recs?

Be sure to use a clean microfiber to remove the residue, wash the area before starting to remove grit and dust, and use gentle pressure. This will avoid halos and swirls. Either WD40 or IPA will work fine, but regardless of which you use, be aware that the products can temporarily soften...

M3 issue in the Colorado Mountains

I'm a little confused here, OP. How exactly did your brakes fail? Your post and title don't seem to match. Regarding things getting slippery, what's the difference between an ICE pushing 4 wheels and electric motors pushing 4 wheels? The vehicle weights are about the same, 4 wheels are...
