    Tesla Service Centers

If Tesla is going to great lengths to seperate them from the conventional car manufacturers...read ICE... then why do they want you to have ASE1-8 certifications to be a tech? Four of the 8 are irrelevant as they pertain to ICE vehicles. I think an EV standard needs to be introduced and people...

    Rural Service

I started to look into the cost and time. The problem is that I am currently working in China for the year until next March. ASE has only a limited number of test centers, none in China. I have sent several emails to them inquiring as to the possibility of taking the tests here. I have not...

    Rural Service

Alaska As to the comment about who would buy a Tesla in Alaska. I believe there is one Roadster up here and, I put a deposit down on a Model S. Yes, service is a very real concern. It would be about 4000.00 to have a ranger come up to have the car serviced. I approached Tesla about training...

    Pilots

Pilot and aircraft mechanic here. Alaska so you sort of need to be. Flew commercially in rural (bush) most of those years and in radial engined aircraft so left a big carbon footprint. Gotta love the sound of them though. Nothing like a Beaver on floats or skis to get you "out" there

    Alaska service?

ddruz, Thanks for that information. Based on the 70 percent then yes, I should most likely get the 60 kw battery. The person who was talking to me about the car in the store was also going to buy one and said she and her husband were hoping for a better and less expensive battery in the next...

    Alaska service?

ddruz that is encouraging news. IF they would have a third party agreement with a local shop in Alaska I would not hesitate to keep my order in. Who would you contact at Tesla about that possibility? I really think I can do most all minor servicing myself. I can probably with guidance or a...

    Hawaii Tesla Owners

Sorry I meant a few hundred miles or even a thousand miles. Yes even a few hundred miles one way is a lot to plunk down for service or a service call.

    Hawaii Tesla Owners

Hey Dublin, if you have a reservation number do not give up just yet. One of my emails from Rik Avalos, specifically about the long distance servicing and, the cost to owners was that they have people working on this. He was not more specific then that as no one at Tesla has been to date. I...

    Alaska service?

Long distance service options Yes TEK I realize this is a Hawaii thread. It is also part of the Pacific Northwest thread. I agree with Dublin. There needs to be a way to service the long distance customers, no matter where they live. I offered to be trained by Tesla specifically for Alaskan...

    Alaska service?

[Moderator Note: moved from this thread: Hawaii Tesla Owners ] I put down a deposit on one and I live in Alaska. I have no idea if there are any other Alaska owners. I have sent emails to Tesla to see if I could be trained as a Ranger to at least do the one year 12000 mile service. To date...
