Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Put in my $420.69 order correctly after botching my first attempt. Had an even 600 shares, will now have 602 when that hits.

    Wiki Model 3 Reservation Tally

They are back as www.model3counter.com, but are still using the questionable method of using the confirmation email time to go by. I think the reservation number that you could see on the MyTesla source code pretty well proved that it goes by when you made the reservation.

I still claim you shouldn't even need a hitch, and I don't think it makes sense to try to help use the Tesla to push or brake the RV. It should be a relatively easy software addition to the autopilot capability to follow the RV at a set distance (1/2 a car length?), mimicking the RV's tail light...

    Model ☰ License Plate Ideas?

Since I can't figure out how to allow others (or even myself if not logged in), imagine the nose of a GMC Yukon with the Mass. plate TESLA3 and a "My next car will be a Model ☰ license plate surround"

Please take the following as questions from a non-Tesla owner who is curious - are the brake lights triggered by throttle position, deceleration sensors, or both? Would the brake lights come on if you held a steady throttle position and then started up a steep hill, causing you to slow down?

But if that is all you have, you still need: safety chains, a hitch, a standalone brake controller (sits on the drivers side floor and physically pushes on the brake pedal when it senses deceleration), a setup with lights to mimic the brake lights and turn signals of the RV (usually sits on...

    Flat Tow

I actually wrote a longish email to Tesla about 6 months ago outlining what could be done to make it easy to tow a Model 3 behind a motorhome. I've since gone past that to where the Model 3 should just have a "baby elephant" mode - The Model 3 is just instructed to drive 1 car length behind the...

Hmmm - perhaps Signature Red could be a no cost option for those who reserved before the reveal. Yeah, that would be a nice little reward.....

    Wiki Model 3 Reservation Tally

This is in response to BQuinn's post #182. I somehow screwed up the quoting: I could send you when I got the confirmation email, but I doubt that is useful information - I am one of those that reserved on 3/31 and didn't get the confirmation email until about 4 days later. However, I know...

    Wiki Model 3 Reservation Tally

I'd say whatever algorithm is being used is full of holes. I put in the actual time I made the reservation (10:30 AM on the 31st, Eastern time) and it said I was in the 240,000 range and expected delivery was Dec 2019. If nothing else, I don't think they realize that North America gets cars...

    Model ☰ License Plate Ideas?

Massachusetts here - my order is in for TESLA3 - It's going to be stuck on a Chevy Trailblazer for a a couple of years. In Massachusetts, you can get electric vehicle plates that are EVxxxxx, but you are allowed to put vanity plates on them instead. The only other odd rule is that numbers are...

    Reservation tracker for Model 3

Yes, that looks the same. I'll try this from home. I may just be running into corporate firewall settings that I can't change.

    Reservation tracker for Model 3

Maybe someone can help me - I have tried going to Model3Tracker.info with 2 different browsers and can't get on. IE gives me : This page can’t be displayed Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting to Model3Tracker.info again. If this error persists, contact...

Info and Hints from Elon Tweets

I'm really interested in the reverse of this - I'd love to see a variant of AP where the Model 3 could autonomously follow a motor home. "Follow Me mode - see that RV in front of you? Follow it at 2 car lengths, and mimic whatever the brake lights and turn signals do." Still probably would need...
