I live in Vail, CO. The stock Continental tires are down right dangerous on snow. At a minimum get a pair of Cross Climate tires if you don't want to get stuck.

Those numbers are much better than mine! This is me driving 30 miles of interstate, 30F, 80mph, 2000ft elevation gain. Normal is around 350-450 KW/hr depending on the weather.

So I noticed in the past few days that my Wh/mi is just stupid. Plan stupid. Interestingly, I've owned this car now for 14 months and have a good idea what kind of range I get for any given drive/temperature. I live in the mountains and it can be -10F when I'm headed to work. With that said...

It's better than not having it but it's not a godsend. Hard to keep those things melted when your effective windchill is like -40F on the highway in a wet snowstorm.

Unless you want to take 3 kids and a wife skiing...

If he's on the highway would you rather he have a crash in a 4runner at 70mph or a tesla at 120? Actually, most new cars are very safe and the 4runner is one of those. I'm a trauma doc so I see quite a bit of blunt trauma :)

This happen to me after the recent update. I filed a bug report and it was back to normal the next day.
