I can 100% confirm that MCU1 upgrade to MCU2 itself does not give you Sentry features if you don't already have the feature or the hardware. I upgraded my 2015 S70D recently. Only additional entertainment features like Netflix and my original missing 4GLTE is included. And you will loose FM...

2015 S70D with AP1 - just had mine upgraded from MCU1 to MCU2 (new screen/unit, not refurb) and it's $2500 + tax. I'd recommend to go with MCU2 upgrade, much faster operation. If you go with MCU1 to MCU1 refurb unit, it's $1500 + tax.

Sorry to hear of the accident and glad to hear that no one is seriously hurted. However, one question looms in my mind: I thought no insurance company will insure any "salvage car" let alone paying to repair/replace it. Perhaps I am mistaken.

Looks like identical beak-in style on all cases. How did they not trigger the car alarm when they opened the door without the fob to grab things from the trunk?

Would asking Tesla to include 4-yr extended warranty plus free 4-yr maintenance be another negotiation option since that's not immediate money out of Tesla's book? That will also give you "peace of mind" for the next few years.

Has anyone tried using a heat gun to warm/heat the spoiler and bend the left side slightly so it conforms better to the trunk lip? I am making an assumption that the spoiler may be made out of plastic instead of carbon fiber.
