All US Cars capable of FSD will be enabled for one month trial this week

I did a 300 mile round trip yesterday. I had to disengage FSD(S) multiple times, mostly for minor reasons, but one time it tried to change lanes in heavy stop & go freeway traffic with very low gap between two cars. Sadly I could not provide feedback at that disengagement. But other trivial...

Try changing the acceleration mode to chill. I have seen very smooth acceleration on my car, but I set it to chill always.

All US Cars capable of FSD will be enabled for one month trial this week

I haven't read through this entire thread, but I got the trial and whoa am I impressed? Hell yeah. TBH this trial may trigger me to pay the 15K for FSD. Its unbelievable smooth and careful. in fact in a parking lot, the vehicle came to a halt at a pedestrian crossing and I wondered why. turns...

All US Cars capable of FSD will be enabled for one month trial this week

Is there a reason why you want your Tesla vehicle to be at a down rev of the software / firmware?

    Optiwatt questions

I signed up for Optiwatt. But when trying to connect to my Tesla account, I notice they require permissions to a lot of information like profile, location, etc etc. To me it is bit of a privacy issue. Does anyone else use optiwatt and still use it without any privacy concerns? I would like to...

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

Unlikely. Rivian, Lucid are all gunning for market share from Tesla. If anything X may see a sales increase due to it qualifying for the tax rebate. This may even prompt further cuts to enable the 6 & 7 seater configs to be eligible for the tax rebate. I would say there is room for another 10K...

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

Oh boy. Another 10K drop on the X and I will bite. Damn. So close yet so far. Edit: not trying to rub it in or be insensitive. I lost money on my Y. But it is what it is.

2023 Model Y LR Poor Mileage in real world

TBH, I am having a serious dose of buyers remorse at the moment. MY 2023 MY LR, gives me ~270 miles of range in mostly warm weather between 75-90F. This is mostly consistent with what the CR report noted. Andy I am nearly always on autopilot @70 MPH. While I agree its EPAs fault to have not...

SW version upgrade from 2023.9 to 2023.26

Thanks for confirming that there is an upgrade path to 2023.26. I was afraid it was limited to only EA or FSD subscribers. I am willing to wait until it has been beta tested by the ones who get it early. :-)

SW version upgrade from 2023.9 to 2023.26

I have a 2023 MY that I took delivery at March end. No EA or FSD. I was at SW 2023.6 and just got the 2023.9 update. I am surprised as I was hoping to get 2023.26 update which has some new features that I am interested in. Anyone know if there is an upgrade path from 2023.9 to 2023.26?

    TeslaMate [megathread]

Yeah man, I really wish teslamate would be supported on the RP1. I wonder what the technical reason is for the not supported status. Unfortunately I can't get hold of a newer RPI. I guess I am stuck for now.

    TeslaMate [megathread]

I still don't get it. I suspect you are saying teslamate won't install on the RPI1. But I was able to successfully install docker. But teslamate installation failed. Edit: I looked further. teslamate won't run on the armv6 architecture.

    TeslaMate [megathread]

I had considered it, but not interested in yet another monthly subscription payment.

Very interesting option indeed. Thanks for pointing this out. Going to explore this.

Good point. Thats even more reason to try and install on my existing RPi1.
