I have SAS but wouldn't call it a "must have". Coils are fine if you won't bottom out in your normal course of driving. I do like them and appreciate the ride they offer but the coils are fine too. Better road feel IMO (for good or for bad)
Only experience has been with Van Nuys but they went above and beyond. Easy parking, pretty big facility, they were saying how crazy it might get with M3 so hopefully there's a contingency plan because that will get seriously crazy.

I'd call an auto insurance company and climb(descend?) the chain of command to find out who they sell them to in your city. Auto dismantlers usually end up with them but you will pay a premium if you don't get it whole from the insurance co.

I don't think they give you a "production date", you just one day chance upon those magic words "Your Tesla is currently in production" on your "My Tesla " page. Look at the google doc spreadsheet to guesstimate the time between VIN and production time if you are bored/anxious.
