Wooohoo! Makes our trip much better. We are 3000 miles in and this saved us a lot of time. Great stop, lots of close food and a bass pro shop a lengthy walk to entertain the kids. Was charging at 322mph!

We are coming from the Knoxville Super Charger, so that is 124 miles and I have an S85 so I can make sure there is plenty of miles to spare. I guess worst care we overnight near there. I think we will risk it.

Ok, now my big question. Do I risk taking this route tomorrow? It saves a lot of time, but since it is not officially up, I assume they could have it back down. I am heading out of Huntsville tomorrow morning towards DC and would love to take this route.

Any progress this week? It looks like I am going to have to skip Morgantown on my trip, though Pittsburgh -> Morgantown -> Tridelphia is 160 miles . I think that is too much stress.

I have had my car long enough (4+ years) that eating in the car was a rule we broke oh around 4 years 11 months ago. If I am going to have a car, I use it as a car.... Anyway, road trips in your Tesla with the kids can be fun. I have done most of mine from the SF Bay Area to LA and San Diego...

I should have added that Hawthorne is by far my favorite. One time, my son and I were there on a trip down south to Disneyland and the hanger doors were open. WOW! Rockets galore.
