Tesla cuts system prices by an average of $3,000 - $5,000

Babaron, how did you contact Tesla for your Sarasota install? I'm asking because I'm building down in Charlotte County and looking at solar panels with a Powerwall 2 installation. There's a vendor in Sarasota claiming to be an official Powerwall installer. Tesla Powerwall Home Battery |...

    PowerWall Delivery

How does the split contract effect using the federal ITC? I was under the impression that the powerwalk had to be part of the whole package for those costs to qualify.

Anyone get their solar roof yet or get contacted about getting there solar roof anytime soon?

The problem is that you'll have to install the conduit and wiring for solar/pw that you (and me...) may not ever use.

Anyone get their solar roof yet or get contacted about getting there solar roof anytime soon?

I'm planning to build in FL in 2019. So we'll see if they're ready to go when its time to put a roof on the house. Unfortunately you need a roof early in a SWFL HVHZ.

    Solar Roof Samples?

They've been accepting deposits for smooth and textured for some time in the US. However sometime in the last 24 hours (I think) Tesla started accepting deposits for Tuscan and Slate as well. You can now place a reservation, which I now have done since the plan is to build a house in late...

    Powerwall 2 "waiting list"

After reading this, I went to the Solar City website (wasn't aware that it was still up, had been going to Tesla Energy) and tried to join the waiting list there for the Tesla Solar Roof. When I put in the zip code, it said that "Solar City was not yet in your area". Is the plan that Solar...

Ford CEO describes plans for 2021 fully automated car

I think its more than just science fiction. Adoption will be an evolution, but the technology is clearly arriving. Old farts like me and Tam will want to keep driving, although the idea of getting into a car and waking up eight hours away is pretty attractive. Younger will wonder why they...

Buying and Moving at the Same Time

I don't think the dealer issue has been one in the past in MD. Also the state legislature passed a bill permitting Tesla to direct sell in MD from four locations. I think right now we have only one gallery in Montgomery Mall in Bethesda just outside of DC. I haven't heard yet where the...

Buying and Moving at the Same Time

I'm looking at retirement in the near future and moving at the same time. MD has a $3000 credit, FL does not. So should I time the delivery of my new Tesla to come to me in MD or have it delivered at our new residence in FL (Charlotte Co.). Any thoughts or considerations I should take into...

Model S on FX's The Strain A red Model S was on Sunday 9/28 show The Strain. But they added engine noise of the car staring and then shutting down. WTF?

    Charging Rates in Charlotte County

We're looking at a post retirement relocation to Charlotte County. I went online to see if the utility had any special EV rates but couldn't find any. BGE (I'm in Maryland) currently has a Schedule EV, where the rate .05556 $/kWh, during offpeak charging (on peak is .15656 $/kWh). This rate...
