Just as encouragement, I’ve been enjoying FSD Beta on my “legacy” model X. Works just like the demo videos say. Definitely still a beta - many rough edges. But excited for where it’ll be in a year or two. I really like the look of the Rivian and Chevy EV trucks - but I’ll not be switching...

A friend of mine drove my car with the FSD beta. He said it self disengaged twice without warnings after a few seconds. So he stopped using it. I get to try it tomorrow.

I just got the update to v11 (not FSD) but that’s notable because I have the camera upgrades on my 03/17 build model X and a 99 safety score. Hopefully this is the pre-cursor to an FSD Beta update.

2021.44.25.6 (FSD beta 10.8) is rolling out now. But according to Tesla Fi, less than 2% of the cars are Model S/X. It does appear that lots of Model 3/Y that were previously waiting for FSD beta have been added.

Wow, two days?!?! Mobile tech did mine in about an hour. Of course they did it wrong the first time and had to redo it. One thing I've noticed is that the new cameras aren't as color correct as I expected. They have a lack of red in them. Wondering if they still didn't put in the right cameras.

Tesla mobile did an upgrade on my cameras last week. But after the upgrade I noticed that repeaters (cameras in the logos) were still showing a heavy red hue in the backup camera view. Tesla confirmed they installed the wrong versions. They came out the next day and installed the corrected versions.

My 3/2017 model X was given the camera upgrade today.

Got an invite to upgrade my 2.0 cameras a few day ago. Scheduled for the 11th, but then they kicked it back to the 26th. I assume they need parts and training. Fingers crossed. I have a 3/2017 build with MCU2. Paid for FSD when it was $3k a couple of years ago.

Our 2013 60kwh Model S with 70k miles has started making a fun sound when attempting to drive. Clearly the drive unit has failed. Tesla says they’ll cover it under the 8 year power train warranty. iCloud

Agreed with the above. That I think was featured in an Electrek article about the camera setup for cyber truck - so they can get a jump on autopilot from the CT perspective.

I previously tried this technique with a box that held the light 9 inches from the screen for 12 hours. That very subtly faded parts of the yellow lines. So I made a smaller box that covers only about 1/4 of the screen, and positions the light about 2 inches above the screen. I left that running...

Mine was a full screen projection setup. Let it run for 10 hours and it only slightly cured part of the screen. I suspect the very low air temp had an effect. Will try closer in quadrants.
