    Yoke peeling

    Yeah for sure. Wiring issue.

    Peeling yoke replacement

Variations between them. Same as before.

    Peeling yoke replacement

The buttons should feel identical. Any differences you feel are variances in manufacturing tolerances. My first mechanical-horn yoke replacement was nearly impossible to activate the turn signals on, and my current one feels identical to the 2021 and 2022 Plaids I've had. Also, the worm is still...

    Yoke peeling

I've been driving a Plaid for 3 years, and have no idea what random dimming behavior you're referring to. Maybe your last yoke was defective?

"Refreshed" Model S model VIBRATION tracking and information thread!!!

Yeah… no, alas. It’s reduced by I’d say 75% overall? Some days are better than others. Most of the time I really don’t notice it but there are specific roads at specific inclines that I know I’ll feel it on before I even head up them.

Why would you sell the links? The car hasn’t changed… 😞

"Refreshed" Model S model VIBRATION tracking and information thread!!!

It’s not gone. It is greatly reduced with the 2023.44 update for most, but it will never be gone, it seems. If you’re going up inclines at a constant 35-50mph or thereabouts you’ll feel it more than on flat. It is the way it is. If you want a 100% smooth drivetrain you don’t buy a Model S. It’s...

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

    Yeah wouldn’t be surprised.

Plaid Drag Racing - Not such a great night

I’m not convinced by this at all. And I don’t think that startup vibration is meaningful in any way when it comes to acceleration.

Tesla drops prices on X/S $20k. All colors free. Bye bye resale

That pricing back in 2021 for the S and S Plaid made no sense. It’s a different car landscape now.

2022 MS - Third Brake Light Out

I gotta say that's actually pretty generous. I'd never expect Tesla to cover the re-tint process. Nice that they did here.

Center horn retrofit for Model S

If the yoke had steer by wire, it would be a step forward, as you'd have the excellent dash and windshield visibility of the yoke, and none of the downsides there currently are. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with the yoke since being so tall the steering wheel retrofit really blocks a portion of the...

2021 Model S Plaid Steering Yoke shaking at highway speeds

My 21” OEM wheels with OEM summers vibrated at 80mph and above. My 19” OEM with OEM winters vibrate at 80mph and above. I just put on some new 19” forged monoblock wheels with Pirelli OEM summer tires, with friction lock, - and the vibration is 90% gone. I don’t even notice it now unless I fully...

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Yes. 2 years later I still yelled today when gunning it at 40mph. It’s otherworldly.

    Wiki Model S Delivery Update

Absolutely. There have been some improvements to the 3, but in my humble opinion that's mostly down to materials quality and also how much more quiet it is. The LED ambient lighting is... well... rubbish. It's not even ambient, - it's direct, and it's ugly, and reflects off the windshield and is...
