My limited experience with the lane change is the same as Fresnel. Put the blinker on and car changes lane. No apparent delay. That works on non highway roads too.

I had a 180mi drive at night for my M3p delivery. I had never driven one before and left a busy Chitown. It took a little bit for the cameras to calibrate, but then everything worked. Lots of new things to distract you and just plain fun factor to the max.

May need to be in park foot on brake to activate it. I noticed this when I tried to put mine in track mode. It was grayed out until then.
