    MS cameras problem?

November 13, 2023 - Got a new S today, in their new metallic flake "Stealth Grey" - looks pretty good. First night driving and yes, the cameras were "blinded" on my dark CT country roads. I thank this thread for the info that I am not alone and give back by saying this issue of being able to...

    Supercharger - Doylestown, PA

Visiting my grandchildren in the area and charging here is convenient but fraught with young characters in WRXs and Camrys with slick hot wheels who roar in and idle in charger spaces next to you, while a passenger mule goes in to buy the driver a coffee and some skittles. Then they roar out...

Time to replace the P85D but not excited about any of the options

I feel the same way about my 2013 P85D. Just had Electrified Garage in Seabrook, NH do a major suspension (and new toe-links!!!) overhaul and now it runs as new - with a few new rattles - but like new. The Bat. goes to 221 miles @ 100% and here in the NE, there are plenty of SC's for any trip...

Time to replace the P85D but not excited about any of the options

My Sept 2013 P85 @ 250K has the build quality of a 1971 AMC Gremlin and rattles like a shopping cart on gravel. However, I will keep this car until I can't keep a car because it scratches all my itches. My wanderlust is sated.

3 tips to significantly increase range in winter and message for Tesla

Just plan ahead, finish a slower overnight 40A charge to 90% so that it's done just when you leave. All will be warm. Weston, CT

    Cold Weather Supercharging

2013 P85 (145K miles): Just bumped into this limitation this morning in CT, 13F and car left out all night. Brought into a warm garage and HPWC'd @ 80A and... nothing - until 35min later when gradually the counter ticked up towards the full 57mph @ 80A

Ahhh.... I just turned an "honest" 145K. Had to replace the front steering joints and a couple control arms on that anniversary... Be well & Happy New Year...

@Nick B You have the right attitude - not someone who knows the 'price of everything and the value of nothing'.

    145K - Sept. 2013, Model S P85 Silver, North Jersey: Journal / Log

@Nick B: Glad you find it useful... The annual service (you can see I liberally skip around with the intervals) is very useful as a "go-over" and allows Tesla to service interim hardware updates and other concerns that software updates can't address. On the subject of long term cost, I may...

    145K - Sept. 2013, Model S P85 Silver, North Jersey: Journal / Log

@Iluvpcs: wired with copper (<8' from panel in cellar) for 100A. Always charged at 80A. HPWC assembly itself never failed - always the connector tip - see photo... This one felt like a soldering iron when handling.
