    That was it! Thanks.

New chime sound in NoA or 42.3?

Nope - it was the speed limit chime. I never enabled this, so it must have gotten set after the recent 42.3 update. Been driving my wife and I crazy, trying to figure out the correlation between this alert and something else.

Is there a Speed Assist chime in the Model 3?

Ah ha! After a recent update (42.3), the speed limit chime option was enabled without my knowledge. My wife and I have been baffled as to what this new “bonggggg!” Noise was. And now we know!

New chime sound in NoA or 42.3?

I’m familiar with rhe lane change chime. This one is different. It happened to me once on my ride to work this morning. And didn’t happen on the ride home. Strange...

New chime sound in NoA or 42.3?

while driving home tonight using Navigate On AutoPilot, the car made a “chime” noise I hadn’t heard before. Sort of a “ding” noise with a long decay, and higher pitched than the normal EAP/Autosteer tones. We couldn’t figure out what they meant, seemed to happen when cars were in our blind spot...

    USB corruption for dashcam recording

I'm using this USB stick (it's really tiny!): SanDisk Ultra Fit 64GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive - SDCZ43-064G-GAM46 . I bought a pair so that I can always leave one installed in the car if I ever needed to review recordings from the other...

    USB corruption for dashcam recording

There was also three fsck-related files, so the car is actively trying to repair the file system when it mounts it (presumably when it wakes up). <snip> -rwxrwxrwx 1 bburns 119050435 3.4M Dec 31 1969 FSCK0000.REC -rwxrwxrwx 1 bburns 119050435 1.7M Dec 31 1969 FSCK0001.REC -rwxrwxrwx 1...

    USB corruption for dashcam recording

After a couple of hours using dashcam, it stops working. The "dashcam" icon on the main display now includes an "X" instead of a red dot. Looks like the file system got corrupted. Plugging and re-inserting the drive didn't help. When I swapped in a new drive as the current one, the dashcam icon...

AC and cabin fans not working when unlocking car

On the second and third episodes I did try to remotely lower the cabin temperature - down to 72 from 129 or 114. The app said the cabin AC and air was cooling but upon reaching the car there was no fans running. On multiple previous times I was able to successfully chill the cabin...

AC and cabin fans not working when unlocking car

Happened a third time, just after I posted above. This time we tried cycling all the options, like cabin airflow options and fan speed. No change. I called tesla roadside assistance, but the hold time exceeded my trip duration so I’ll call later when I have more time. I’ll file bug reports...

AC and cabin fans not working when unlocking car

Clarifying (can’t update my original post): - this happened once while I was on 2018.28.5 (what the car came with) - this happened again two days after upgrading to 2018.32.2 And fwiw, This is a model 3, non-P AWD.

AC and cabin fans not working when unlocking car

ive had my car just over two weeks and am on a long trip, so I’m still getting used to how everything operates. But I was surprised when twice so far when I’ve returned to the car in hot weather that the cabin fans and AC were not operational. Normally when I would unlock the doors the fans and...
