    2014 Tesla Model S 85 - Build Thread

Current mileage: 155,443 Just wanted to post that I started using her for Uber and its been so much fun. Just a ride here and there in between kids drop off and pick ups. I prefer Uber eats vs folks in my car. But almost everyone that gets in her, thinks she is a brand new Tesla...hahahaha...

    2019 Tesla Model 3 SR+ RWD - Build Thread

Current mileage: 66,655 Rear glass cracked. I had no idea, until my son got in the car today and said "Hey Dad, is that a crack?"...and well dang, there is a huge crack. Looked and seems maybe a rock hit the roof. This most likely happened yesterday. So after thousands of miles, we get a crack...

    2019 Tesla Model 3 SR+ RWD - Build Thread

Miles: 66,457 Had to share this epic trip from MD to CO. To go snowboarding at Breckenridge and Vail. I wanted to see if this old M3SR+ can do it, and it was a champ. AutoPilot worked great (Minus no auto lane change, which my MS85 has and it is nice not to have to engage AP over and over and...

    Will 19inch model S wheels fit a model 3

You are right. Was hoping someone would chime in that has used spacer adapters. Guess I will have to try it and get back to everyone.

Model S vs Model X vs Model 3- wheel/tire interchangeability......

Anyone actually tried to fit them? I have Model S 19 wheels with snow tires, and I would just like to use those on my Model 3 for a road trip...But on the fence about getting spacers. But it would be a lot cheaper than buying a whole new set of wheels and snow tires...=/...Safety first...but...

    2014 Tesla Model S 85 - Build Thread

Current mileage: 154,024 The weather here on the East Coast has been super warm this winter, so decided to put my summer tires back on...as I feel like I wasted my winter tires this season for sure. While doing this checked the rear passenger axle leak and found it to be much less. I expect now...

    2014 Tesla Model S 85 - Build Thread

Just wanted to share some thoughts on a recent Turo rental of a 2023 Model X Long Range. Long story short, I am not impressed at all. Going to do my best to keep my old 2014 Model S85 as long as I can now. I was really looking forward to upgrading, but no more. If I can afford a new Model S in...

Vendor Tesla Model S Battery Extended Service Plans from 057 Technology

I agree with what you are saying. I was not trying to take any moral stance. Just an opinion. Everyone will have their bandwidth to these things. For my situation at this time, there are no reputable shops near me...so I will have to take it to Tesla. Most likely more folks are in this same...

Vendor Tesla Model S Battery Extended Service Plans from 057 Technology

I am in the same boat. I purchased the service plan in 2022. I reached out to them for details on when I would get the required BMD. Was told could be sometime. No sweat. But never got it. Again no sweat. I did not speak up much, as I was also under the impression that if anything happened to my...

    2014 Tesla Model S 85 - Build Thread

Current mileage: 153,384 Been keeping an eye on things while I plan the next step for the car. So far fluids are all nominal. Today checked the coolant levels while the car was cold in the morning and looks normal. I will keep checking coolant and LDU leak, until I can get the car to a shop to...

    2014 Tesla Model S 85 - Build Thread

Current mileage: 152,411 Rechecked the LDU leak, this time actually opened the fill plug to see if anything comes out, and yes started to drip right away, so closed it back up and left it alone. Also, had been looking for a LDU oil/fluid change DIY and couldn't find much here on TMC, so below...

    2014 Tesla Model S 85 - Build Thread

Hahaha thanks. I really want to open a Tesla repair shop one day. Gluing clips is a terrible idea, but in a pinch sure. They should have used zip ties. You replaced them or used zip ties?

    2014 Tesla Model S 85 - Build Thread

Current mileage: 151,863 Rechecked the LDU leak. Definitely, a bad seal, not a terrible leak, but needs to be addressed soon. I will top off the fluid later this month, while awaiting plans to get LDU rebuilt. So after 2 weeks this is how it looks. So very slow and small leak. Also...
