People asking me about my car (2018 all over again)

Lot of questions still when we go out to garage sales. I do need to change my car’s business card from having my now worthless referral number on it to a pointer to my website (AntiAntiEV.com ). The antiEV crowd is alive and well on Facebook so I use various pages on that site as a quick way of...

Should I buy a Tesla as a first car?

With car prices what they are right now I would continue with what you are doing now for transportation or spend a couple thousand on a clunker with plans to trade it in in a year or so after EV prices start dropping and used gas car prices start tumbling big time. Bound to happen. And yes...

Dealing with the Anti EV crowd on social media

Hi, I realized I was spending too much time typing the same answers over and over to ”questions” people asked on Facebook whenever a new EV announcement popped up. I decided to put basic EV info (with emphasis on Tesla Model 3) into a website to make it easier to respond. The just facts...

    End of warranty inspection

$1200…glad I put 3M VViVID on my headlights…already had a rock bounce off that material and actually rip it which is really hard to do. Didn’t damage the headlights. I also plan to have inspections done at end of each Warrantee.

Ordering Model 3 after Model Y

That really makes no sense. Plenty of superchargers along the way and a V3 in Brownsville to boot. We typically drive the distance of that entire round trip in 3-4 stops in one day with total stops for charging and eating and restrooms taking a total of up to 75 minutes in a day…and that is in a...

Aftermarket Tire Pressure [what tire pressure for my aftermarket tires?]

My Stealth with 18” wheels, Michelin Mx4s on front (originals) and Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS on rear. At 40 deg F out I put 42 lbs in each. Sticks at around 48 lbs when temp is in 80s and tires warmed up. Handles great on mountain curves and boring FL roads.

Looking for some straight answers on Model 3 Performance Tires

I replaced my rear Michelin Mx4s at 16,000 miles on my Model 3 Stealth (too much 0-60 in 3.0 seconds :)). Put on a pair of Bridgestone Potenzas RE980AS and after 10,000 more miles they have handled great in high winds and heavy rain (drove 5 hours through the rain bands of Ida at night in the...

Dealing with the Anti EV crowd on social media

Thanks. Facebook is a target rich environment for misinformation so lots of potential for answering comments there :)

Dealing with the Anti EV crowd on social media

Ah, good point. Apologies. I could have sworn I started this post in the M3 forum…must have been switched here when I was searching to see if anyone else was discussing misinformation. I amend my comparison to you eating at a restaurant then and objecting to people drinking wine at your table...

Dealing with the Anti EV crowd on social media

I know why I am in a Tesla Forum. Not a clue why you are if you really aren’t interested in EVs. Talk about trying to shove (mis)info down peoples throats :). You act like someone walking into a crowded bar, yelling out “I hate alcohol”, then going around trying to tell everyone that they...

Dealing with the Anti EV crowd on social media

What specifically is your question on AC or heating? For local daily driving (where cost is more of a concern than range) any reduction is inconsequential as 1] AC has less impact on mileage in my Tesla than it does on a comparable gas car, and 2) with the advanced octovalve heat pump...

Dealing with the Anti EV crowd on social media

I think the short term approach for flight will be a hybrid. Basically electric motors going up powered by a hydrogen fuel cell…VTOL style, so no need for an elevator/tail section, btw. Goal being able to get to a very high altitude where battery driven electric motors and blades optimized for...

Dealing with the Anti EV crowd on social media

Yep, I don’t mind people that want to wait…no hurry actually with EVs so backlogged on orders anyway. Just try to counter the people who choose to aggressively push misinformation and disinformation that actually convinces others to wait or even pass along the same incorrect info In turn...

Dealing with the Anti EV crowd on social media

I used to just ignore the anti everything crowd, but in recent years realized that if they are the only ones plastering comments on social media sites with minimal efforts to correct their misinformation, well there is a good percentage of the people out there that believe whatever they read. I...
