Selling winter tires/rims from Model 3 Performance - Grand Rapids, MI

Just sold my Model 3 Performance to someone in Texas who doesn't need the winter tires/rims, so selling a set of four 18" Nordic non-studded 235/45 R18 Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 winter tires mounted on gloss gunmetal silver 18x8.5 Flow One F2 rims. These rims and tires were barely used. The rims...

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

Finally got my winter wheels and tires installed Saturday. 18” Flow One F2s in gloss gunmetal silver (from TireRack.com) with Nokian Hakkapeliitta R3 tires (from SimpleTire.com). I am very happy with look and noticed right away the improved range compared to my stock 20” summer tires. Alloy...

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

I had the same experience. TSportline was very accommodating. Ordered the F2 from Tire Rack. Being installed today with Hakkapeliitta R3. Anxious to get them on as winter has come early to Michigan.

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

I ordered the exact same wheels but with Hakkapeliitta R3s. They are getting installed today I think they look great on your car. Anxious to see them on my blue car. I will post pics when I have it back

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

I spoke to them earlier this week and now they are saying the 18” rims won’t ship until mid to late November. I am stuck here in Michigan with a car I can’t drive with snow on the roads and temperatures in the upper 20’s. My patience is getting thin as the date for delivery keeps getting...

Oops, sorry. I meant to ask what WHEELS were you considering on Tire Rack. For the tires, I have settled on the Hakkapeliittas R3’s.

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

Thanks for updating us. I am on the verge of doing the same thing. Getting worried that I am going to be stuck without a car to drive here soon. I am curious what tires you have considered on Tire Rack.

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

Anxiously waiting to receive mine as well since the stock summer tires won’t do me any good soon enough with temps getting down to freezing at night. Hoping we will see our shipments soon.

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

I have been doing a ton of reading about all three of these tires. The Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 (R3 is the new version) seems to always come out on the top of most of the comparisons I have seen. I really like the fact that they embed crystals in their rubber compound to give it better traction...

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

Purchased my 18" Hakkapeliitta R3 tires from SimpleTire.com. Paid $904 for the set of four, with free shipping (included 5% off with email sign-up coupon). Ordered them 10/13, and they delivered 10/17. I haven't been able to mount them yet as I am waiting for my T-sportline rims to arrive...

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

To clarify, it wasn't the fact that the 19" rims were the problem, but that the all-season tires from Tesla were like ice skates on the snow-packed roads here in Michigan. Can't believe I lived with them for all four years. It wasn't until I drove a loaner Model X that I realized it was the...

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

Thank you everyone for your posts as this has been a great thread to help me decide on what I was going to do for my winter tires. Had 19" stock all-season tires on my 2014 P85D and found them to be horrible for driving in snow, although never changed them out. With the new Performance 3, I...

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

Looks like the Hakka's are only available in 245/45 vs. 235/45. This won't be an issue?

    Performance Model 3 Snow Tires/Rims

I have read this thread twice over and have decided to go with the TST-18's for my winter package. Now for the tire choice - Michelin X-iCe or Pirelli Winter Sottozero. What are the pros/cons with each? Should I be considering any others?
