Discussion : All discussion regarding Model 3 and Tax credit in model 3 subforum

When I click through one of the used Model 3's, there is no mention of a credit, whereas if you do that for a new Model Y they explicitly list the $7500 in the cash breakdown. I guess I could chat someone at Tesla and ask. The AGI limits for Used are low, but I am asking for a college student.

Do you mean the POS portion? The FAQ's seem to indicate the Transfer is for both the New and the Used credit. I've also already seen dealerships state that they offer the Used POS transfer...

Does anyone know if and when Tesla might start offering the Used Clean Vehicle Credit ($4000) on their used vehicles as Point-Of-Sale? There are 2 Model 3's right now that are under $25K on the Tesla website.

Thoughts on buying a used Model 3 from Hertz?

Does anyone know if used Model 3's qualify for the 2024 Used EV Tax Credit? New Model 3's don't qualify anymore, so does that mean that used ones don't either? It looks like the Highlands are now available to order, let's see if that moves the used prices.

Thoughts on buying a used Model 3 from Hertz?

Did some more digging, likely the high-mileage in short period means that these are the results of the Hertz Uber Tesla rental program? It would be a bit better if they were Uber drivers who put on the miles. I will also observe the market when the Highland comes out, we don't really need...

Thoughts on buying a used Model 3 from Hertz?

Any thoughts on buying a high-mileage (~80k miles) 2021 M3 SR+ like this one, for a college-bound child? The SR+ range would be plenty, the price seems lower than anything else I've seen, but the mileage is a bit concerning as it is getting very close to the Battery and Drive Unit warranty limit...

    Supercharger - Sanford, FL

This Supercharger charges $0.34 per kWh. By comparison, the EVgo station in the same lot with CCS charges between $0.42 and $0.56 per kWh depending on the time of day. Do you not have access to charging at home? That would be $0.11 per kWh or $0.07 per kWh if you are on the FPL TOU plan. And...

It is indeed live! Highest rate I saw was 130 kW but then it started tapering pretty quickly.

Major construction seems to be done, cabinets and stalls are all in place. Is there a way to find out final inspection status, etc.?

    Supercharger - Sanford, FL

Welcome to Sanford! It would be tough not to have at home charging, but yes the Target one should work well for you then. A quick charge up during a shopping trip. I was reading that the flooding might stick around until Thanksgiving! Crazy stuff.

FSD Beta drove me to Target with one disengament (right turn lane was backed up and it was about to pull a very socially unacceptable move), to take these pictures And here is a bonus picture from the Sanford river/lake front which is still flooded from Hurrican Ian.

I'll grab some this weekend, the pedestals were up when I was there today but there we a lot of workers so I didn't want to snap a pic.

Digging has started and the highlighted area is fenced off next to the Pollo Tropical. 3 large Tesla Energy branded boxes are onsite. I'll keep checking on it on my weekly Target runs!

Cost of removing and reinstalling solar panels during roof replacement

My homeowner's insurance company is making me replace my 18 year old asphalt shingle roof. I have a 14.7 kW (51 panel) solar system on it right now. I called the original installer, and they quoted me $12,629 to take off, then re-install the panels. Does this sound right? The original system was...

    Airstream/Thor introduce the eStream concept

I didn't personally lay eyes on a CCS receptacle, but there was a J1772 charging pedestal mockup next to the trailer, and they did tell me it had Level 3 charging, so I would assume the trailer can take CCS fast charging. It would make most sense. On the big red button, maybe it is a HV battery...
