Tesla YANKED FSD option without notice - Class Action lawsuit? Any Lawyers here? [Resolved]

The dispute is with the 3rd party dealer rather than Tesla. Your sales contract is with the dealer not Tesla. The dealer might have a cause of action against Tesla, but I find it hard to believe that Tesla sold the car at auction listing FSD as included. More likely, the dealer just didn’t pay...

UGH - The smell of it. [AC Smell]

I removed the cabin filter and cleaned the condenser. Instead of replacing the cabin filter, I installed an aftermarket filter that goes in the frunk. Granted, it may not be quite as effective, but it eliminates any odors and is much easier to replace.

Serious paint flaws discovered after delivery

Have the service center take a look at it. If it is an obvious flaw from the paint process (like a paint run), then they should fix it for you. If it is a chip, then it could have easily happened while you were driving and would not likely be covered.

Canceled 2021 S Model for good reason

Tesla still sells silver wheels on their website. You can ask your advisor if they can just swap them out at delivery (it’s been done before). If such a minor and easily solved issue causes you to cancel your order, then you must not have been that serious to begin with. Changing the wheel...

    Software version that disables radar?

According to Green The Only, the only vision only cars are the newly delivered cars without radar. Cars with a radar still use it even on the same software version. Currently, there is no software version that deactivates the radar.

When you sell a Tesla does FSD stay with the car?

Purchased FSD stays with the car. The only exception would be if the car is traded in to Tesla or purchased by Tesla. If Tesla owns it, they can do what they want with it. Having said that, judging by the number of used cars with FSD on Tesla’s website, I assume they do not typically remove FSD.

    2021.4.15.12 now...?

I just got 15.12 as well. Green The Only has stated 15.xx is the branch with the bleeding edge NN. So perhaps this is the vision only update that Elon stated would be coming out this week.

Tesla YANKED FSD option without notice - Class Action lawsuit? Any Lawyers here? [Resolved]

Another false narrative. Look at all of the used cars for sale on the Tesla website that have FSD. Just because Tesla can remove a feature of a car they own doesn’t mean that they typically do, as you implied. As we have seen with several threads over at the Tesla forum, when Tesla removes FSD...

Tesla YANKED FSD option without notice - Class Action lawsuit? Any Lawyers here? [Resolved]

Your car did not have FSD when you purchased it. You originally stated that you purchased the car on 12/20/19 and the feature had been removed on 11/18/19, more than a month before you bought it. The used car dealer sold it to you as having FSD when it did not. Tesla still stepped up and gave...

Auto-park bashed our neighbour's car - should Tesla pay both repair bills?

In the video, the car isn’t going as fast as I would have thought based on the description. So I will revise my previous statement and acknowledge the possibility that this was an autopark issue. However, I still think it is likely that some driver input was the root cause. Hard to tell and need...

Auto-park bashed our neighbour's car - should Tesla pay both repair bills?

Okay, you have edited your original post. You originally stated at “high speed”. Your words, not mine. Also, the description of how the car shook suggests a speed greater than the speed that auto park is restricted to. Auto park typically has to make at least a couple of back and forth maneuvers...

Auto-park bashed our neighbour's car - should Tesla pay both repair bills?

I’m with you there! “And that, your honor, is when the fight started” Regardless, based on what was described, it is pretty apparent that she mistakenly hit the accelerator instead of the brake. We can say that even if the OP wouldn’t dare.

Tesla YANKED FSD option without notice - Class Action lawsuit? Any Lawyers here? [Resolved]

In your case, FSD was loaded as a demo and the original owner declined to purchase the option. Tesla just failed to remove the feature in a timely manner as they should have. Tesla was negligent, and I can’t blame you for being upset for having paid more for the car based on it having FSD. Tesla...

Auto-park bashed our neighbour's car - should Tesla pay both repair bills?

You are ultimately responsible for what the car does on AP or auto park. Auto park is speed limited and pretty slow. If it accelerated at “high speed” as was stated, then it seems highly likely that the driver hit the accelerator. Every example of unintended acceleration has been determined to...

Tesla YANKED FSD option without notice - Class Action lawsuit? Any Lawyers here? [Resolved]

Tesla does not remove paid features. The only exception would be if Tesla takes the car in trade, in which case, they own it and can do whatever they want with it. Alec, in your case, FSD was never paid for and yet Tesla added it as a matter of goodwill. Seems pretty generous to me.

Not a single accident on FSD beta. Current FSD and FSD beta with an attentive driver is far safer than no FSD. FSD, even in its current form, enhances safety rather than being dangerous. It is only dangerous when people abuse the technology.

MASTER THREAD: Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

You are not going to get rated efficiency (thus rated range) driving 75 mph without a pretty strong tailwind. On the energy graph, if you adjust your driving efficiency to match the rated efficiency (wh/mi), you should get pretty close to the rated range.

Tesla vs. semi crash reported 03.11.21

In this case, AP was not even engaged, so the radar nor AP cannot be blamed in this case. I don't think there have been any T-bone accidents while on AP for the past two years, so I don't know that the issue still exists in the current software. In fact, the V9 FSD beta release coming in April...
