    Wrapping sliding armrest with alcantara

Had a little side project that I wrap sliding armrest with alcantara. Turned out ok but I kind of wish I know how to operate a sewing machine to give them contrast stiching. Any other interior pieces that I can remove easily for my second alcantara project?

    Refresh my pre-facelift Model S

Thanks guys. I figure they would look better than unpainted plastic, even if there are rock chips later on. It will hold me over until I get unplugged front bumper refresh.

    Pre-facelift front lip removal

Tried searching but could not find what I was looking for. Does anyone know if I can remove the front lip of pre-facelift bumper without removing the bumper itself? It would be great if there is a DIY vide on how to do this. Been thinking about painting the lip body color but want to get more...

Dipped again! This time Deep Sea Blue + Blueberry Juice in Autoflex Satin

Thanks. When I looked at AutoFlex earlier, it's not legal in CA and I had to look at other alternatives. Trying to do my side skirts and rear bumper in solid white without removing them from the car.

Dipped again! This time Deep Sea Blue + Blueberry Juice in Autoflex Satin

Great work! I am looking to do the same thing with a different product called Raail coating. Have you considered that? Also, I noticed that you have a pre-facelift car and you have chosen to dip side skirt / rocker panel but not the rear bumper (the bottom piece right behind the wheels). How...

Has anyone painted black lip/side skirts?

Hey Kevin, that looks good! Can you share where you got it done in the bay area? THanks!

Has anyone painted black lip/side skirts?

Did you get them directly from the service center? How hard or easy is it to remove old side skirt and install new ones? In addition to the side skirts, there are black plastic pieces on the rear bumper. Seems like quite a bit of hassle to remove the rear bumper to paint those.

Has anyone painted black lip/side skirts?

I’m also asking around to see if I can just wrap them, including the black pieces in the rear bumper.

Model S Car Crash Help for After Action Review

Did you have a chance to check if your tires were michelin pilot super sport (Summer) or pilot sport A/S (all season)? We have been going on ski trips with Michelin MXM4 (all season) and seriously considering getting a set of dedicated snow tires.

    New X75D or used S P85+

I believe a few high mileage CPOs have sold for high 20s. Keep in mind that these CPO also come with warranty and some money was spent to refurbished these units to make them presentable. I would imagine these cars have trade-in values at low 20s. Also, autotrader listing price and the final...

    New X75D or used S P85+

I have been thinking about exactly this issue myself in the last couple of week. One point I want to make is the selling price after two years of ownership seems very optimistic. 2014 S P85+: $35K-$40K 2018 X 75D: $60K - $65K When I go through the calculation myself, I have considered the...
