    Fisker ocean - UK forum

Too many people calling Fisker downfall unfortunate. Myself and many others could see this coming years ago, but the way this business was approached given that all the lessons Tesla and others put on full display for others to learn from, just screams recklessness. Just designing a good...

    Hows your adaptive high beam?

I agree - to a point. Like all such technology they rely on being able to detect an oncoming vehicle and when that doesn't work they are insanely bright and literally left after-images on my retinas which is outright exceptionally dangerous ... and what about pedestrians, cyclists other road...

Wiki UK Tesla contact information and Acronyms

2024 - Shouldn't this thread just be deleted now as you basically cannot contact Tesla in any meaningful way? Recent service experience was so loathsome I almost told them to just keep the car ... except I couldn't even contact them to say that. Why Telsa have to go out of their way to make...

Helvetia (& Tesla?) no longer offering extended warranties

lots! in fact LOTS!!! as ever with insurance it is a statistical bet. The insurance company with make money else they wouldn't offer it. Let's say out of £900 pa they make £300, so you are looking at the likelihood of £1800 worth of failures in 3 years. Tesla labour is £150 ph? Mostly the...

OCTOPUS are an absolute (bad) joke - beware of dealing with them

Undoubtedly fine for many, but posting this to alert others that Octopus is not the super shiny best customer service supplier ever as their adverts would like you to believe. Total BS in my experience and a massively frustrating disappointment. Like many on here I signed up (technically was...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I'm thinking they have something booked now but clearly this is obviously with external providers/installers and it is now up to them to give a date, still a rubbish experience and costly - I have little hope of any credit/compensation but it is a two rate meter so simple enough to do the math...

Sorry - haven't read all 117 pages! but am I the only one who signed up with Octopus and can't get a smart meter out of them - for months? Tried to book a smart meter on the website - bugs on the website - every link failed Tried to contact them - got told to use the website Tried to contact...

85D vs P85D. Whats the difference other then 0-60times?

what the figures don't show is that all of the P85D benefit over an 85D is at less than 30mph, ie off-the-line antics. Fun for sure, but above 30mph they're almost identical and this is due to the limitation of the battery to deliver power not the motors. The P90D was a bit better but afaik...

sorry - i don't know the location - but will be under the frunk. you can literally pull the plastic side covers off without removing the frunk part - might be able to see it under there, else you'll have to look under the frunk itself. see if you can google some pics - i would guess on the...

    Tesla Price Reductions

interesting reading some of the angst over Tesla pricing. Which is exactly the same as every other auto manufacturer really : model updates/stock balancing/EOQ pushes ... except they all hide behind dealers. This is actually the downside of direct web sales, pricing (and price changes) are...

cor haven't been here for a while and it's a bit spicy round here these days. am I allowed to say I'm very slightly mildly miffed as I can't even get a smart meter out of Octopus yet so no smart tariffs for me at all. mind you I do value my sleep, so any interruption might just tip me over the...

    FSD Beta in the UK?

I believe (undocumented) the front camera heater is switched on with a single press of the front demister (a long press gives you full demist/fans etc). As for B pillar cameras - meh glwt - they don't have heaters. I care rather less that FSD has not been delivered even if I did pay over the...

    FSD Beta in the UK?

referring back to Elon's "EU in summer 2022, Right hand drive markets a few months later" I guess this means that there is no point hoping for FSD in UK until EU have it, after which we have to wait a few (Elon) months for the UK. In the meantime the best we can hope for is the single stack...

WoW ! Tesla Model S Plaid Hit Record-Setting 216 MPH

impressive to say the least - most especially as there is no gearbox (gives Mate Rimac something to aim at too) brave - as the cars aerodynamics are unknown at those speeds - but if they could record the suspension data this would be valuable info I wonder what the motors' rpm are at that...

More likely just electronics component supply problems causing meter delays Many Smart Meters afaik use Ti parts amongst others and these are a supply chain nightmare at the moment

Plaid 21” rear tire woes - factory defect?

agree with others 45psi (cold) is where you need to be. Seen exactly this on my cars in the past when I used to run 40-42, since I upped to 45psi problem went away. and please don't run them on the road like this with canvas showing as you cant easily get a blowout - i speak from experience!

TESLAA - Android Auto for Tesla App

came across this app a little while back. Absolutely excellent for me. Remarkably stable in v1.4, some crashes but Tesla browser does that anyway. I can't recommend Teslaa highly enough. I dont use it all the time, but as Tesla dont show the "green google road clear" lines any more (bloody...

Tesla made my car slower after they repaired it

if you use the toybox "easter egg" for Ludicrous and get the battery hot enough (~50C), when you Launch properly the left side of the instrument cluster will switch automatically to show power readings. If these are off then you have facts to put to the S/C which are easier to discuss than seat...

Tesla open up the SuC network [in UK]

@ACarneiro - actually I would keep updating - history suggests Tesla make periodic major changes v9-v10-v11 and these are a bit of a mess intially but then subsequent iterations dial out most of the wrinkles. Better actually to anticipate the major changes and hold off on those for a few months...

    Inner wear on front tires

usually I reckon to review tire pressures with wear comments like this. # Not sure what tires/wheels you are running but I keep the fronts on 21s and Mich PS4S at 45psi cold; any less and I get exactly the wear you describe.

    Calendar difference after holiday update

2022.4.5 and still not back :( I really am not a fan of v11, usually I reckon to learn a new release before commenting but v11 has just been a mess from the getgo especially the new taskbar and HVAC controls. I'm pretty frustrated about it, all the more so as basic howlers are still yet to be fixed.

    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

indeed you can, and you have to tap the screen once to bring up the icon, then again to tap the icon to set north, which is tedious. Safe use of 3rd party apps?

with the recent so-called "hack" of Tesla accounts supposedly via compromising user passwords and maybe less well designed apps, what is the best practice (other than don't!) for using 3rd party apps. What should you look for in the way the app is designed, and what is the safest method to...

    V11 - what’s your verdict?

actually a setting option for font size across the entire UI is desirable Standard/large/largest as per other OS would be an excellent feature. Irrespective of putting that one on the wish list, stupidly small fonts are unacceptable on a car's UI.

@Peter 224 hi, intrigued to discuss what you disagree with as usually we are on the same page? (do consider your experience may be different if you have a M3 with landscape display, mine is MS with portrait display) the MCU crashing on a regular basis is acceptable? Miniscule icons right in...
