SpaceX Starship - IFT-4 - Starbase TX - Launch Thread and Post Launch Discussion

Marcus: I'd love to know if there were similar symptoms on any of the other 3 flaps. Given #SpaceX are now completely replacing the heat shield on the Flight 5 Starship, would love to know how the other flaps held. The controlled landing after this was nuts! Elon: Left flap also got very hot...

Two more helium leaks. Before: "two adjacent doghouse propulsion pods could jeopardize Starliner's ability to execute the deorbit burn." Ymh.., I hope the workaround works.

EVCollies, Boeing did not do integrated system test and missed problem with timing error with Atlas->Starliner. SpaceX does integrated testing. And if you look here, Boeing is really have mastered the "fly little" approach:

They changed the Centaur's valve, but not service module helium valve (doghouse valve, port manifold 2). Valve works even if seal deteriorate more, and leak is still tolerated. (If service module would needed to be de-staged, it would be the months long delay, rumored before) Other words; risk...

Centaur's buzzing oxygen valve and Starliner's helium leak are two different problems. And your reasoning is backwards. SpaceX build and know their systems. That knowledge is most parts with ULA's and Boeing's subcontractor or subcontractor's subcontractor. And their communication don't seems to...
