Any refresh MXs out there with MPP Solid Front Lower Bearings and/or UPP rear sway bars

What the rear UP sway solved for me was the "dancing" feeling of the MX rear when I was driving at speed (e.g. normal freeway driving).

Need advice: Choosing between 2023 or 2024 ModelX

Comes down to specific build date within either 2023 or 2024. For example, some 2024 in Jan/Feb still had the button horn. And I believe the cutover to HW4 happened sometime in 2023?

    Front camber adjustment

Forgot mention, I removed both front wheels as well. Basically to make the suspension as light as possible for easier adjustment and not have to fight gravity. 🤪

    Model Y Rear Sway Bar

If you go to the Unplugged Performance website, under the Model 3 suspension, they do offer just the rear bar. My understanding is that the rear bar between the M3 and MY are the same in terms of fitment (difference in diameter size). You may want to call to confirm with them, but I suspect that...

    Deliveries of $80k X?

If you're the main driver, I would probably suggest to go stiffest first and adjust down from there as needed. I went with medium just because my wife is the main driver for the MXP, and so didn't want it to be such a huge change for her immediately and then her thinking something was wrong with...

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Not much gravel roads around my Southern California concrete jungles. The freeways around LA are rough with varying sizes of potholes. So far with the sway bar, the ride is still good (of course that's subjective). I use to have the suspension comfort set to sport, that was a bit rough. I now...

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Not yet. Will try to find some time soon to switch it over to stiffest setting to test it out.

    Deliveries of $80k X?

I installed it at the middle setting. My thinking is that leave it on there for several months, and then switch to stiffest setting to see if I can feel a difference and which setting I prefer.

    Deliveries of $80k X?

I felt the same on my wife's MXP, the feeling that the rear was loose at speed (I guess "the rear end dancing around on the road" is probably a good description). I eventually installed the UP MX adjustable rear sway bar to give it a try and that issue has completely gone away. Part of me...

Sold Jackpoint Jackstands For all Tesla

Do you know if the included pads work with a Model Y? Curious because the product page doesn't mention anything about compatibility with a Model Y. Available for shipping?

    Deliveries of $80k X?

Yep, just did that on my 2021 Model Y for the HEPA filter. Tesla also offers a retrofit for the Model 3 power trunk as well. So I'm hopeful of a retrofit if/when they do have a front camera option. As for ambient lighting, not my cup of tea; however, being that it may require replacement of...

Maybe? Another claimed trusted source per notateslaapp 😬 Or maybe it's just click bait. Don’t care for ambient lighting, but front camera definitely.

Any refresh MXs out there with MPP Solid Front Lower Bearings and/or UPP rear sway bars

So far I've been pretty happy with the Up 3 way adjustable sway bar on the MXP (set to medium stiffness, ride height set to low, comfort set to auto). I've been taking the MXP more recently due to trips around LA/OC area. I'm no expert, but it definitely feels better to me now compared to when I...

Swapping Steering Wheel for Yoke. Software Update Error

Haha, nice. Sounds like me; I got an H version from a fellow member here as well from an 11/2023 build. I just got lucky doing the config update before whichever software update that nerfed it. I guess if it does peel, hopefully I can get the new one with the mechanical horn by then.

Cruise control unavailable - FSD and visualizations gone

I haven't had any issues with FSD since they replaced the "Restraint Control Module - Universal (1512876-00-E)" under warranty. Fingers crossed 🤞 For my issue, it was strictly the FSD visualization related and thus auto pilot was no longer available. And when it happens, it's permanently no...

Wiki Model X Refresh Issues Thread

This might be a dumb question, but does setting location specific FWD opening, is that per side or does the setting assume for both doors? Also, that setting is just for how high it opens and that the swing motion/angle will still utilize the USS each time on door open for any potential side...

Long delay opening new model X with phone key

Do you have to have update 2024.x.x to utilize UWB? My MXP is still on 2023.44.30.8 and my iOS Tesla app is 4.30.0. I don't see anything under iPhone > Settings > Privacy and Security > Nearby Interactions. I opened a Service Request anyways, maybe they'll push 2024.x.x to my MXP 😬

    What does this symbol mean?

That's the temporarily reduced regenerative braking symbol. Usually shows when your battery is over 80% charged, but can be affected by temperature as well.

Swapping Steering Wheel for Yoke. Software Update Error

I just did the same last month (early January) and the config change ran just fine. I just needed to do the scroll wheel reboot for all the displays screens to show the yoke on the screen. I wonder if they made some software change to it in a recent update, and perhaps it's thinking that it's...

    Deliveries of $80k X?

You might try changing the battery on the remote you're trying to use to program with. I wasn't able to get the Homelink to program properly with my new MXP for several days. I was at a loss and was about to contact the SC thinking Homelink was broken on the MXP. Even though all of my remote...

Any refresh MXs out there with MPP Solid Front Lower Bearings and/or UPP rear sway bars

Based on me just doing Google searches before, it doesn't seem like UP does any type of annual sales that I could find. That's why I decided to do the UP sway bar first as I know that MPP does Black Friday sales.

Any refresh MXs out there with MPP Solid Front Lower Bearings and/or UPP rear sway bars

I decided to pull the trigger on the UP adjustable rear sway bar, since I could easily return it as UP is relatively close to me if I didn't like them. I have the MXP set at Low height and Comfort set to Auto. Have N2itive adjustable rear cambers and had alignment done to N2itive spec at Low...

    Front camber adjustment

I think there was probably a bit more play if I had wanted to go more negative on the camber with the play in the bolts relative to the factory installation, so I think end to end, definitely more than 0.5+ degrees in adjustment.

Retro-fitting HEPA filter in Model Y

Maybe try doing the scroll wheel reboot of the screen in the car? I had to that when I swapped steering wheel / yoke on my MXP after updating the config in service mode. After the scrool wheel reboot, the display showed the proper setting.

    Front camber adjustment

Just wanted to add to this thread for anyone needing it in the future for research/reference. I had recently installed MPP comfort adjustable coilovers for my 2021 MY (plus MPP rear adjustable camber arms); I did not remove the upper shock/FUCA assembly that bolts onto the body. Had an...

Any refresh MXs out there with MPP Solid Front Lower Bearings and/or UPP rear sway bars

Nice. How is the comfort level when driving over uneven street roads? Do you feel that bumps on 1 side is transmitted to the other side more so with the UPP sway bars compared with the original factory ones?

    Deliveries of $80k X?

I wonder if the wiring is any different that would allow for a direct swap, with firmware update as referenced in the new parts listing. I'd imagine that the airbag wire harness may be the same, but not sure about the wire harness for the wheel's different control functions. Hopefully that is...

Brand new MXLR, noise from drivers side front.

If you're up for it and have the tools, maybe just try loosening the fore link's inboard nut, raise the suspension to ride height, and then torque the nut back down to spec to see if it fixes the issue. 🤞 Pulled from MPP's tech article: Torque the inboard 22mm eccentric nut to 95lb-ft (130Nm)

Any refresh MXs out there with MPP Solid Front Lower Bearings and/or UPP rear sway bars

Only found 1 thread on TMC for the UPP rear sway bar, but the user has since been banned ( 🤔 ), and another thread on the MS. Would love to hear more impressions and feedback on these for the MXs.

N2itive’s Alignment Kit 1 vs. Unplugged Performance

I might reconsider these N2itive lowering links when I might do the MPP FLCA solid bearings since will require an alignment again anyways. I know it's a bit off topic, but does anyone have the MPP FLCA bearings installed on their refresh MX as well?

Retro-fitting HEPA filter in Model Y

To get them to enable "the button" would cost another ~$35+ for that mobile service appt. So already down to $100 now for the cost difference.

N2itive’s Alignment Kit 1 vs. Unplugged Performance

Do you think with the lowering links and it set at OEM low, is it lower or higher than OEM very low setting? I've been curious why not just run it at OEM very low as default to achieve the same, or is it?

Retro-fitting HEPA filter in Model Y

I decided to schedule this upgrade, was curious where the thread holes are that you're referring to here? Model S/X Round Steering Wheel & Retrofit

I can definitely see the benefit of the button to activate the camera, especially if there was a front camera when pulling into my garage. Maybe it's prep for that front camera to come. 👀 Question is will those holding out for a 2024 based on rumors of front camera and ambient lighting continue...
