New Delivery - Games Require Update

Took delivery last week. Many of my games are unavailable pending an update to them. I have no software update available, and can't find how to update them to get access to the games? I feel like I'm missing something simple. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    Got My 2021 VIN!

I really wish Tesla would just figure things out. My check was delivered on the 21st according to the tracking, but they haven't deposited it into my account. Supposed to take delivery on Saturday and this may slow things down.

    Got My 2021 VIN!

Yeah, dealership laws vary from state to state. The point being that some states you can pay at delivery, others you must have completed payment in full prior to delivery.

    Got My 2021 VIN!

I'm not sure how it is elsewhere, but in Texas they won't bring the car into the state until it is paid in full. The SA cannot accept payment on site.

Post New-Construction Tesla Panels - Suggestions for GC?

If you do run conduit, be sure that the material complies with local code. My house (bought after it was already built) had conduit run but it was plastic. Local code requires metal conduit for solar so they couldn't use it.

Well, good news is I heard back in 1 day from submission on my interconnect agreement. Bad news is they rejected it. Tesla didn't include on the diagram submitted where the electric meter is located in relation to the disconnect. Should be an easy fix, but boy was I disappointed to see an email...

    Post Your Tesla Solar Layout

Very good points, once I ditched the idea of the powerwall for my usage I didn't think about it this much. Thankfully I'm in Houston where our energy market is deregulated. I have net metering available, and will run it for a few months to see what ends up making the most sense between net...

I certainly understand that. But running PVWatts and comparing my hourly usage I only lightly overproduce. I looked at August 15th and at noon I used 4.5kWh and the anticipated production from noon to 1PM on a typical August 15th in my area is 4.8kWh. In general, my solar will produce what I use...

It is going to depend on your usage, location, etc. Based on my usage history, the 6.8kW system should meet 75-100% of my needs during the day. If we are using all that is generated then there's not much left to go back to PW. Granted, the PW would be just a novelty for me. Net metering, no TOU...

    Post Your Tesla Solar Layout

Update: The layout from Tesla wasn't spot on and they weren't able to fit all the panels. Down 4 panels so dropping from an 8.16kW system to a 6.8kW system. Definitely made me glad we didn't do powerwalls. 8.16kW would have been right around 100% daily use. 6.8 is still better than nothing, but...

Tesla Advisor: Price increase on Model Y coming

Downside is from what I can see on the TCEQ website is that it expires January 7, 201 Light-Duty Motor Vehicle Purchase or Lease Incentive Program Which puts more pressure to look to an alternative like the Mach E if you want the full $10,000 credit available for Texas residents.

Tesla Advisor: Price increase on Model Y coming

For sure, I was looking into it when trying to decide between volt/bolt/leaf. Ended up just going with a used volt for cheaper after the rebate but it has since expired. I wouldn't be too hopeful about it coming back.

Crew showed up very promptly this morning ta about 7:15 to get start on work. If you guys are on here, I'm so sorry about my cars. Tesla Advisor: Price increase on Model Y coming

Unfortunately Texas' rebates have expired. I don't think it will be higher, and honestly wouldn't expect it to be at the different price points. It is more a tired of playing the waiting game on the LR RWD and getting no updates.

Tesla Advisor: Price increase on Model Y coming

Sorry for the delay in responding. The range is minimally concerning. We need one for my daily commute of approximately 80 miles round trip, plus local driving around the city. We need another EV for long trips, which is where my wife's desire for a Model X or R1S would come in. If it ever...

Tesla Advisor: Price increase on Model Y coming

I placed an order for an ID4 1st Edition. I'm between ID4 and Model Y as a convert from my Volt. I was originally mostly Model Y, but seeing QC issues that I simply don't expect from VW along with such a significant delay (I have a RWD MY order) I'm mostly just ready to get into something new...

15.3kw system Completed yesterday - scratched panels caused by rough handling

Thanks for sharing. I have my install with the Houston team next month (originally scheduled for Thursday, but with Marco/Laura went ahead and rescheduled it). I'll keep an eye on mine, and please keep us updated on the process.

    Post Your Tesla Solar Layout

Install was originally scheduled for Thursday, but given Marco & Laura are uncertainties on their way to Houston I went ahead and called and was able to reschedule for September 14th. Wish I could have held onto Thursday, but that's probably the most unpredictable day so far.

FYI, after talking to my advisor he said when you get PTO call in. Otherwise you go in a queue with everyone else and you have to wait your turn. But if you call in, you're automatically moved up to the front of the queue to get activation.

Permit issued about 1-2 weeks ago (it has been a very busy month so forget exactly when). I got a call yesterday from scheduling and had availability for today, but by the time we confirmed it, it was gone. Still scheduled for Aug 28th in Houston.

    Tesla Reviews

I ignore it by saving thousands of dollars. Those sites are marketing for 3p installers, since Tesla doesn't use 3p advertisers they aren't showing up. Selection bias - people looking to leave a review elsewhere tend to be those with negative things to say.

    Does anyone finance their panels?

I also did the loan. My solar system should cover 75-100% of my usage depending on time of year, and my payment will reduce my monthly bill by about 50%. At 4.99% I'd rather have my investment elsewhere.
  46. T

    Post Your Tesla Solar Layout

Getting moving along - Tesla is asking me to change energy providers but I'm going to call and see if I can stay with my current provider. I don't see why not, as my current provider offers net metering.

    Post Your Tesla Solar Layout

Took about a week to get an update after requesting the 340W panels. I'm much happier with the new layout, and they may be able to trim some vents to fit two more on the south side. Technically losing about .2kW on the south side, but with the past distribution the other panels were more subject...

Thanks for that tip, I'll definitely check! Should I ask before "accepting the design" and payment? They came for the site inspection today and just got a confirmation to confirm the pricing and accept the design.
