Aftermarket Suspension for Model Y RWD

Hmm that's what I thought. I've searched online for people in NSW that have done it before to see if it's worth it (wondering about the range impact)

Aftermarket Suspension for Model Y RWD

Has anyone installed aftermarket Suspension on their Model Y RWD in Australia - preferably in Sydney? With a lot of concrete roads I am thinking of upgrading the suspension to make my ride smoother. Has anyone done this before? Are they worth it? Can you suggest someone who can install it...

Does using Tesla Tyre Repair kit require you to pull the nail out first?

I've never had a flat on my Tesla yet but my colleague was on vacation and she had a flat. She didn't have a tyre repair kit or a spare and had to wait for about 10 hours at -13°. That got me to think about the Tesla Repair Kit I bought from the Tesla website. I read the manual an it looks...

    Common Australian Pickup Issues

What exactly is "APAC_IP Speaker Grille Replacement"? I raised a request today coz my Smart Summon isn't working anymore with "Unable to summon, Ultrasonic sensors maybe blocked". However, it doesn't seem like a hardware issue coz I get parking alerts just fine. Now when I check the request I...

Is it illegal to speed to the speed limit from the traffic lights when the signal turns green?

So if my lane is empty in front of me and I accelerate to 60 on a 60 zone without having to brake, it's not considered dangerous driving. Am I right?

Is it illegal to speed to the speed limit from the traffic lights when the signal turns green?

That's what I'm worried about. How do you decide what's dangerous driving! Can they book me for just "feeling" it's dangerous coz I sped up fast?

Is it illegal to speed to the speed limit from the traffic lights when the signal turns green?

It's not illegal when on a multi lane road. But my question mainly was about accelerating quickly to speed limit regardless of whether I'm overtaking or not.

Is it illegal to speed to the speed limit from the traffic lights when the signal turns green?

Say there is this car that is too slow for the speed limit, in front of me. So when approaching the signal I switch to an empty lane. When the light turns green, I check for safety (making sure no cars from other sides of the junction are come in) and then if I speed quickly to the speed limit...

Is there an aftermarket Android Auto Instrument cluster that doesn't block the vent on Model Y? I've got one but it blocks the vent. Others I've found online works on a browser, but browser is disabled while driving, so that is useless. There are a few others I've found that is mount to the...

    Is Scheduled Departure Buggy?

Meanwhile, I have another question - Yesterday I was driving from Manly to Jenolan Caves. About a few KMs just before reaching Jenolan caves (when the steep downhill started), I got an icon on my screen that said that said this: This seems odd since I was driving continuously from Sydney so I...

    Is Scheduled Departure Buggy?

I use Teslascope to track usage. I can confirm that: The voltage from the grid didn't drop at all. I can see the car was at 99% since 6:24 till 6:41. This might be cell balancing. But even then it reached 99% only at 6:24 while my departure time was set to 6:15. Does this auto fix over time...

    Is Scheduled Departure Buggy?

I used scheduled departure for the first time. I set my off peak end time as 6am and departure time as 6:15 am. Off Peak charging is enabled. This is set in the Schedule > Departure screen. My actual off peak time is 10pm-12am and then 6am to 7am. From 12am to 6am is super off peak time. This...

Dashcam videos not recording unless honked?

Does dashcam record only if I honk or manually save it? I remember that the past 1 hour (or 10 minutes) or so recording is always available until recently. Nowadays it doesn't seem to store any dashcam as it used to, unless I manually save it. (Previously, once I reach home if I go to the...

Is my charger pulling too much energy?

Finally heard back from the provider. It was a dumb smart meter. And the reading was for 3 months and not one month. What is the point of a smart meter if it's dumb!🤦🏽

Is my charger pulling too much energy?

My Tesla was 100% charged by 2am. Now it is 12:59 and it still shows +3kwh. Does it mean it is still pulling power? I'm worried because I shocking bill from my electricity provider. From the usual 200$ for May and June for July I got a bill for 1890$! Could something be wrong with the car or...

Weird prediction from Bathurst to Auburn

I was driving from Bathurst to Auburn and the Tesla projected like so: Current battery level (around Blue mountains area): 49% Expected arrival SOC: 49% !!! Distance to go (at the time of screenshot): 86 KM However, I reached Auburn with 41%. Clearly, the estimate seems off. This is the...

Drove someone else’s Tesla using the app

You could, it uses Bluetooth. It takes two people. A hacker(1) follows the original owner of the second car and stays near him. The hacker 1 could then transmit the Bluetooth SIG al to hacker 2 near the second car and he can effectively unlock both cars.

How much does maintenance cost for Tesla Model Y/3 in Australia

That brings me to a question. When on auto pilot, (that is, you so not keep the accelerator pressed) and car is going down hill, does Tesla automatically keep the speed in track? If yes, does it use regen braking or normal brakes.

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

Yeah, but there wouldn't be the 2 extra live wires if mine is single phase to connect to it. That said my understanding is that a 3 pin adaptor will not fit into a 5 pin plug, or will it?
  32. M

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

Isn't it 32amp 3 pin for single phase

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

Well that's stupid, what of someone who already has a Tesla and no UMC needs one now?!
  34. M

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

In the mean time, I just noticed that Tesla UMC is no longer listed in Tesla Shop Australia (not even as "out of stock"!!!). Are they pulling it form the market?

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

I really don't want to invest in a HWPC in a rented house. Plus I am happy with slow charging as long as it can charge over night

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

I just did a bit of a research and can see that MY can charge 0-100 in under 8 hours on single phase if using 32amps plug. However, I read somewhere that Tesla UMC comes with only up to 15 amps adaptor. Is there a good suggestion for 32 amps adaptor that works with Tesla Gen2 UMC? Also, does...

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

That's where I am confused. It looks like single, but at the same time I read somewhere that if there are three fuses in the main board it is 3 phase (How To Check if You Have 3 Phase Power (& Solar)). My board has 3 fuses but the breakers are slim and all same size. I do have an extended board...

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

I don't know if mind is single phase or three phase. How do I find? Is 32amps good with single phase?
  40. M

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

Maybe I'll try with the current 10amp and see how it goes (there is one in the garage). If I see power issues then I'll install a 15amp.
  41. M

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

That's what I am thinking off now. That would mean cabling, plus a separate fuse, plus the plug outlet, correct? Or would there be other expenses I would need to consider?
  42. M

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

Considering some posts above indicating fuse being blown when using toaster + heater + ev charging, etc. What's the best way to avoid this on a 10amp and still be able to use all devices? I mean is it possible at all? What if I pull another 10amp from the mains?
  43. M

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

Looks like UMC is the way to go unless I absolutely need a faster charging
  44. M

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

So a controlled load can't be a wall plug of say 15amps or so?
  45. M

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

Does make sense. I've used Teslas before (hired them at two different occasions for a week each) and I always used SuperCharger except for once when I used NRMA and it worked then. But again that was early morning about 4:30-5.
  46. M

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

If instead of using a wall charger (I'm renting the place, plus don't want to invest in it unless absolutely necessary), I use a 15amp plug that doesn't exist yet (that is get an electrician to install one), I believe that would be a separate line, wouldn't it? And not end up blowing the fuse...

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

Yeah, was doing some research. I usually drive about 45-50kms on weekends (of not doing a trip) and maybe 20-30 on weekdays. So granny charging would work for me I suppose. Do you guys charge during off-peak or a controlled load? Any pros and cons I should know off?
  48. M

Where can I find the current Tesla Supercharging costs in Australia?

And yes, I'll be using supercharger only for long trips. Or maybe I'll use NRMA chargers when available. For now NRMA chargers are free for members.
