    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Thanks for all that. If I have time will take a look, find anything I might have missed. Some of that I do recall.

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

source? And that does not make sense due to the disaster that CCS1 was becoming. The other car makers were seeing bad news everywhere, EV sales decline, they were desperate. All reports are he did, and then rehired people deemed critical, meaning Tesla would be in trouble if they did not.
  3. MontyFloyd

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

It does, but that does not make sense when the need for chargers is accelerating (it have become THE talking point, primary fail discussion with EV's) If Elon was so concerned Tesla was building SC to the benefit of others, he should have them contribute to SC buildout, not fire entire team and...

How much was the SuperCharger team worth?

That was what, late 90's, very early 2000? Today such an act can kill a company (both social media and offshoring jobs)

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Issue with new stations, not existing ones. What I read maintenance is different department.

How much was the SuperCharger team worth?

Incorrect. Companies announce RIF all the time, recently Walgreens announced "significant store closings", in past it was ToysRUS, CVS, BedBathBeyond, and so on. Not the case for a RIF (with a very few if any exceptions.) Those who do bad things will do so after they are no longer an employee...

How much was the SuperCharger team worth?

There was a number of 1st and 2nd hand sources coming out and posted in news, comments, and YT videos about this firing/closure so while not complete it was a better picture than usually. Fully agree with this. RIF is inevitable, but minimizing disruptions is important. It is stupid for a...

    Done with Tesla

Can you elaborate on severity? As others have stated this is more a CC issue than Tesla, and others have offered ways to increase your ID safety.
  10. MontyFloyd

How much was the SuperCharger team worth?

It is, but was there an urgent need to do so? Tesla going bankrupt? Elon desperate for $$$ (no because his bonus was based on other metrics). Downsizing is perfectly legit Massive dumbsizing that disrupts active projects on set schedules opening up to potential breach of contracts and lawsuits...

How much was the SuperCharger team worth?

Ask the dozens of sub-contractors that reported they lost all access to Tesla, not just workers in the SC department but could not contact the main office. There is no question the entire department was gone, until there was the well documented mad scramble to rehire some back. Firing an entire...

How much was the SuperCharger team worth?

And shutting entire parts of the company is better? Imagine Tesla shut its battery division to focus on AI? (everyone makes batteries) Just saying if profits is the goal the smart move will be to spin/sell off that division and make $$$.

How much was the SuperCharger team worth?

There are several companies that install chargers, the precedent exists. Expect a company used to installing gas stations to easily install charging stalls? (points to car makers who thought they could easily make BEV). I should also given examples of super markets, malls, and grocery stores...

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

If there was profit motivations (ie reducing expenses), it would be far better to sell the entire team than fire them. https://teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/how-much-was-the-supercharger-team-worth.328814/

Gen 3 Wall Charger WPA2/WPA3 compatibility Issue

These days more people get a leased router with service, so it may be harder for the customer to change the Wi-Fi settings. AFAIK Autel is the only EVSE AC charger that has ethernet port. They said they will get NACS by end of this year, but will work with adapter.

All used M3 and MY have an 8.69% APR, FYI [06/18/2024]

8.69% APR on USED inventory 3 and Y cars, with a hefty down payment. Makes new units more attractive/better deal. Why make it hard to sell its used cars? (beside the fact some cars are just over $25000 ($25100 to 25900)

Anyone else see the price difference before $7500? RWD vs AWD LR is $8500 .... Whut?? Also not the RWD has low APR. RWD (no $7500) 36 month 1.99% 48 and 60 month 2.99%

Its EV's in general, not just Tesla. I think the major factor is the charging infrastructure still has a LOT of work needed, even with Tesla (and because Tesla Elon fire entire SC team staff). MASTER THREAD: Powering house or other things with Model 3

I am not talking about modifications, I am talking about standard equipment (or at least OEM option). It would be minimal cost and weight to have a 110V AC out built into production BEV. By extension it is inefficient cost and shelf space to buy an external battery on the once in 2 year event...

MASTER THREAD: Powering house or other things with Model 3

After the devastating fires in California that cut power to communities for weeks EV owners would drive 20 or so miles to an area with power, charge up, then come home and run essentials like fridge and lights at night for 2 to 3 days, repeat when getting low. In Japan after the 2011 Tsunami...

Elon Musk Discussion - Tesla Brand Damage

Or politically powerful. It is animal nature to be attracted to someone who is powerful (regardless of gender or purpose). The problem is most people think they can exert some level of control over the other, only to be "shocked" when they have none.

How much was the SuperCharger team worth?

(Something I wanted to post weeks ago but was too busy.) From the few posts made in social media by people involved with the Super Charger build out team, it is obvious they were busy at dozens of locations, some in high traffic areas which likely meant tens of million $$ projects. Don't need...

Trying to trade in 2 cars for 1 MY, advice?

First of they do have a large PV installed, over 100kWh on a mostly sunny day. They also drive a lot of city miles, about 100 miles 4 out of 7 days, and once a month to other major Texas cities. Grid Electricity is about $0.20 to $0.23/kWh. At a guess using PV as much as possible and Grid for...

It's not me, and I tell them same. Read previous post for benefit (besides a low low APR) And my friend did trade the Hybrid for a MY AWD, picking up June 5
  43. MontyFloyd

Trying to trade in 2 cars for 1 MY, advice?

Not I who is selling, and it is not because new. The purpose is reduce expense by going BEV, a lot of daily miles that will be much cheaper operation with at home charging under a PV roof.

Seeking help for a friend (really!) 2 cars up for trade in, a 2020 Corolla HEV and 2022 Highlander ICE. Both must be traded in for a MY due to negative equity on one of them, and tight financial situation. They already asked Tesla rep and they did not want 2. I asked another and he not 2 But...

    2024 MY "Price Adjustment" Math

You can if you compare a refreshed and much better M3 versus a 3 year old MY. Also possible better production efficiency with MY over M3 And then the $7500 tax discount impacts net price which only applies to MY and expensive M3 Performance.

    Entire Supercharging Team Fired?

Weeeell, they were not fired directly, not due to personal performance, but yes there will be clear distrust in management, especially Elon, and loss of moral.
