No details yet, but there were a decent amount of VIN's received yesterday/overnight here on the forums.
Definitely not, our 2 were 10 days apart on VIN's with the 2nd VIN ~ 6000 lower than the first.
Believe it is one of the last processes, either near the end of the line or when the car is loaded for shipment.
Do they have additional Giga-Presses to handle this thought? Has anyone confirmed the chip shortage other than “rumored”
I think those that are waiting on cars ordered late last year/early this year would say that is likely a false statement.
I know there is a small delay after the assembly line, but people are still receiving VIN’s for Model 3’s, many reported yesterday/overnight here...
Or maybe just a maintenance window.
