Has this been sold @wk057 ? Might have to stop waiting for a 100 pack to become available.
no
Yes, you need to update your gateway.cfg file for the change, which is not available to the "general" public.
Old tuner is analog, new tuner is digital with different wiring, so it needs complete replacement and it’s a pita to replace.
They have to replace the IC, IC1 is not compatible with IC2
Neither?, I have APH3 i'll upgrade myself with a tuner!
The tuner. The mcu2 upgrade you’d need lots of software help to diy. The hardware is plug and play as reported long ago, minus the tuner and the...
Naw, I’m totally doing it :rolleyes::rolleyes:. My goal will be one bandaids less... ;)
No confusion it doesn't work or do anything. It merely shows the sentry icon and increments a counter to show the number of incidents, but no...
@verygreen found hints of it being worked on in the firmware, to soon to tell more then “soon”
Just had mine replaced yesterday, same one.

Best thing I have read all week.
Yes, it’s called adult diapers ;)
It’s certainly not the first or second or even third rewrite..... who knows anymore....
or the lighted vanity mirrors from 2012.
yes, I’m 100% sure of that.
They aren’t giving us full refunds, maybe the FSD price, but not the 100k. Not happening
Oh please, a few months of musk time is years..... This has to be the best ponzie FSD scheme ever....
To be clear @verygreen upgraded an AP2.5 MCU1 car to AP3, not AP2.
We already know it does, it’s just the visuals that lack. That being said which version of FSD. The original or last years?
It requires some pin changes to work.
Not to bust your bubble, but us AP 2.0 folks were first in line, about eight months and 60k units ahead of you 2.5 folks.
If it helps, I haven’t even seen .40.50 yet , and yes the AP crashes are god awful.
Mcu0 pre AP2 requires changes however. Aka mcu0
AP2 and 2.5 have the same MCU, no harness changes are needed.
Please also note, no pin swaps or harness retrofits were required as expected.
*cough* *cough*. Twitter
I’d like to be clear, there are a multitude of new parts required, but I’m speaking only to the wiring harness which is not required to be swapped.
yes, you need a new tuner but that’s the only new wire, you don’t need a complete new wiring harness or swapping of any pins which has been...
No pin out changes on MCU1 if you have AP2.0, if you pre AP2.0 then you have pin out changes.
We get that with mcu1.
yes, I have the two main cams facing front and back with 4K resolution and the side cams are mounted in the very back passenger glass pointing...
ditto, put into 2 dual channel black vue 900s, best insurance ever spent, caught a door dinger at work with it. They were shocked when I showed...
March 2018, nothing in 2017 is mcu2
Sorry! It wasn’t a tweet it was the investor call. https://electrek.co/2019/10/24/tesla-full-self-driving-timeline/
@MP3Mike how can you disagree with this??? This is some of my best trolling all year!
Also, the broke Santa mode on mcu1!!! Do those mcu2 bastard still have Santa?
umm, no. You get a very clear and concise flashing red hands and steering wheel icon when ap pukes. The other visuals don’t affect that at all....
Feature complete in 5 days!! Elon wrote it on Twitter it must be true!!! Anyone want to buy a bridge I built in Brooklyn?
They have already proven they are perfectly fine with some things only for mcu2, I see this as no different assuming the car drives the same.
Did you really just ask me why tesla does something which on face value seems short sighted??? o_O ok, because in three months maybe, but...
MCU has nothing to do with FSD, it’s all driven by the APE.... however the “visualization” of FSD, seems to be linked to intel for some things.
no idea, I’m not in Europe. I believe s/x need to buy it seperate, but I do not “know” for new cars.
correct.
it’s a hardware upgrade on the car. The car knows it has a ccs adapter.
Apple, nor MS sell you a piece of hardware with the future promise of some mythical date in the future to replace said hardware with a mythical...
and the e-fuse
Blacklisting the car is not as bad as you think we typically have the firmware before the whitelist. But they will void your mcu warranty if...
Sure! I bet 3 months maybe, but definitely six!!
