Don't quote me, but this could just be it coming out of deep sleep. Mine does the same sometimes. You can maybe test to see by probably accessing it via the phone app first, then get in the car and see if it's already out of deep sleep. I don't know all the triggers, but it's a sensible explanation.

It seems unreasonable to me that Tesla would require "Tesla-only" 12v batteries in perpetuity. It ran fine for months until an update, and even longer than that in other cars.

So... it came back this morning. I'm just going to leave it for now since I know the battery is fine. I might mention it to Tesla at a service appointment I have in a week (different car).

My wife drives the 3 and she says she thinks she noticed it Monday (didn't tell me till yesterday of course). I'm trying to remember when we got the upgrade. The reset appears to have worked, I'll report back if it surfaces again.

Had the same issue on my driver door. Try fully seating your door fuses. I'll try to find the article that worked for me. It might still need to be replaced, but this might get it working again. Door handle issues! Self-fix by fuse pull/re-insertion!
