    Regarding turning off adaptive cruise control, on my 2020 Nissan Rogue you can turn it off and use regular cruise control. Whether that's generally standard among cars with adaptive cruise control I don't know.

    Unless it's some kind of a regulatory problem, I don't understand why standard non-aware cruise control can't be an option. You'd think Tesla could quickly program that in with very little effort or cost. If they don't want that as a permanent setting, it could at least be a "for this drive"...

    I don't know why standard old cruise control can't be an option. I get that traffic aware cruise control may make the car safer in the long run, but if people are too scared to use it then it's not any help.

    How much will insurance increase after road trip?

    I have had my model Y for about 6 weeks. My next Tesla insurance premium is supposed to be about $138 based on 15K miles for the year. However, If I take a road trip of 2K miles roundtrip next week I'm wondering what impact that might have on my premium.
