    Model 3 spoiler

If you get the spoiler from Tesla, they come to your house, prepare the car surface and install the spoiler. You don't have to worry about the size or quality of the tape.

    OEM Tesla T* vs non-T*

    What is a "T" tire?

    Drove the Highland Yesterday.

Recently test drove a 2024 Tesla 3 (Performance). Other than no stalks, I didn't notice much difference from my 2018 T3 with 40,000 miles. Yeah, there was a smoother interior and power trunk, but I didn't think all that was worth getting a new T3. Thoughts?

To the buying class of 2021...time for an update!

I still have my 2018 Tesla 3 and stil love it. It has 40k miles on it. I got new tires a month ago, and I see no reason to get a new Tesla. Why spend the money to get a 2024 car when my 2018 is good? Just to have a newer version?

You will! Please refer to the post #10 by ewoodrick above

My wheels are scratched again, do you know how to protect them from scratches?

This is all a matter of opinion and prefence. Black rim protectors match the tire and are not as "ugly". After you have had to get your rims fixed at $90-$100 a rim, you might change your mind. Some people are just cooler and more practical than others.

My wheels are scratched again, do you know how to protect them from scratches?

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Make wider right turns and don't park too close to the curb. Otherwise, there are many Tesla rim protectors out there. They even come in different colors. Here's one AlloyGator Wheel & Rim Protection - Multiple Colors*. There are many others...

    Wonder Brake Surprise

At 40,000 miles I went to a Tesla service center to get brakes serviced expecting to pay ~$350. They inspected the brakes (free) and told me the front brakes looked new and the rear brakes did not need servicing. They told me to come back at 80,000 miles and sent me on my way; free. This was a...

    Self Parking

I have a 2018 model 3 with all the software updates and FSD. Does self-parking only apply to backing into a parking space, and not parallel or angled parking?

Power Trunk Retrofit on Model 3s now Available Direct from Tesla [09.14.2023 - 2018 model 3 not eligible]

Why is this trunk opening retrofit not compatible with the 2018 model 3? Can't Tesla resolve this, especially with the installations described in this thread?

Has anyone else's auto park also stopped working?

My 2018 Tesla 3 autopark works sometimes, when it wants to; but only for perpendicular back-in parking. It never works for parallel parking.

    Tesla Drivers Using Non-Tesla Chargers???

I talked to a Tesla driver who was using a EVgo level 3 charger. He said he does it because many times the Superchargers were full and that the EVgo charger was cheaper and closer to his work. Are level 3 chargers cheaper?

    Tesla Drivers Using Non-Tesla Chargers???

Thanks for your reply. Good points. Probably Level 2. Your point about it being free is well taken. I knew there just had to be a logical reason. It would be nice, that when fully charged they would move for someone else. This happened during the day.

    Tesla Drivers Using Non-Tesla Chargers???

As a Tesla owner, when traveling I sometimes get a non-Tesla EV rental car. On a recent trip, I stayed at a hotel that had 15 Tesla superchargers and 2 non-Tesla chargers. On 2 ocassions there were Tesls at the non-Tesla chargers while there vwere ~10 Tesla chargers available. Consequently, I...

    Like Update 2023.7.30

Recently downloaded the latest, for me, Tesla 3 update, 2023.7.30. I really like the visualizations. One question: When in autopilot and FSD is activated, I can't tell what the distance between my car and the one in front of me is set at. Does anyone know what that default distance and can I...

    v11.4.7 (2023.7.30) auto-wipers seem drastically worse

I just noticed the same thing. In San Diego I don't get many opportunities to use the wipers, but it drizzled today. The wipers did not automatically come on. I finally set them at 1. Maybe they set the wipers not to be used here.

    S3XY button install on 2018 Model 3?

I have a 2018 Tesla 3. I have connected the S3XY button system and use it for my mirrors, passenger door and the glove box. It works good, no problems. The attached video does not apply to you at all. It is the wrong system and for the wrong year. The harness you have is different from mine...

    How To Adjust Trunk Latch

I don't think it is the struts. They are after market electric struts. Once I clear the trunk latch, the trunk opens fine and stays up. The trunk latch on the car body wiggles as if it's loose.
  34. Radlaw

    How To Adjust Trunk Latch

When I try to open the trunk on my 2018 Tesla 3, it opens about 1 inch but then reseats to the closed position. I'm able to "force" it open if I pull up before it reseats. The "ring" on the body of the car seems loose. Should it be? This just happened recently? The trunk closes appropriately...

Adding Harnesses to the OBD Connector

I now have 2 additional harnesses connected to the OBD connector at the rear of the arm rest. One is for a dash indicator and the other for S3XY Buttons. Is there a limit as to how many harnesses can be added? I realize there is a space issue that can be worked around.

Should I lower it or leave it?

Leave it. It looks fine as is and you won't have the usual problems associated with having lowered a Tesla.
