    FSD bug: minimum highway speed

GA minimum speed signs continue to trip up FSD. On 12.5.1.1 and this was a persistent problem on my trip this weekend.

FSD 12 reading interstate minimum speed sign

I'm on 12.5.1.1 and this is a persistent problem. Super annoying.

Why did you buy a Tesla, 2024 edition.

I agree and bought the M3 in very large part due to the driver assistance features. I have over 4K miles on my M3 in two months because I do a lot of road trips. FSD is SO nice. That said, I meet a lot of Tesla owners who have never used the system. They find it intimidating/scary/etc. Tesla...

Prospective owner question: How does Tesla Service scheduling and process work?

When I've needed service, it's never been something that rendered the car unusable. Just annoyance things. Door handle stopped working, trim piece fell off, whatever. I wouldn't sweat this too much. FWIW - I like my '24 M3 LR more than either of my prior MS's. Car is incredible.

Just returned from Highland Test Drive

So true. I test drove a Highland and bought one the next day. FWIW - I love the car. It's a great package. There's really nothing I don't like about it. Thought I'd miss CarPlay more than I do but even that has been a non-issue.

    M3 Highland LTE Connectivity Issue

Oddy enough the car has fixed itself. I don't trust it, but it's nice. . . for now.

    M3 Highland LTE Connectivity Issue

No. I'm on a road trip and can't do much about it. My service appointment is in a couple of weeks. I'm guessing hardware issue.

    M3 Highland LTE Connectivity Issue

Thanks. I'll give this a try. The car just did a software update and that didn't help. Maybe this will. I have ATT on the phone as well so it's not that. And man does the car chew thru hotspot data!

    Model 3 Highland Efficiency

In the midst of my first long road-trip with the '24 M3LR. I'm getting about 325 miles of actual range at 79 MPH (minus the times I'm stuck in construction and whatnot) and very hot ambient temps. I'm shocked by it and very pleased. It also seems to charge way faster than my '18 MS.

    M3 Highland LTE Connectivity Issue

I have a 2024 M3 that all of the sudden won't connect to LTE. I have Premium Connectivity subscription. And it worked fine until about half way through a road trip today. I'm able to work around the issue by attaching the car to my phone hotspot but that's annoying. Does any one have an idea...

Do Plaids really get slower over time? Performance loss?

I generally charge to 50% for this reason. I think it will probably help to prevent degradation. For sure matters more in high heat.

    Best way to contact Tesla?

Update: Was planning to go to Tesla store today to try to get a new temporary registration but woke up to a UPS ship notitication from Tesla Registration Services. Curious what's in the package! But for now I'm assuming the best. For others in the same situation: I took delivery on 5/15 so this...

They did. But it's now "closed". I can't respond to it. Store is ~30 minutes away. I'll drive by there. That's probably the right (if annoying) move.

    Best way to contact Tesla?

Hi all, What are people finding to be the most effective way to contact Tesla? I need to ask them about the status of my registration/title work and to get another temp tag. Leave VM at the store? Chat on-line via Tesla.com? Try to send a message thru the app? Thanks in advance. Tim

Phone Key Always Connected at Home, Tesla App massively draining iPhone battery

Another data point - my phone is always connected to my car as well because my office is above the garage. The Tesla App accounted for about 5% of my battery usage over the last 24 hours. That's not nothing, but it's not a ton. I'd leave the phone off the charger and see if it actually drains...

Recurrent: Model 3 drivers got 72% of EPA range with new cars, 64% after three years

This. I strongly believe the conditions and speed are much, much bigger factors than degradation. I'm positive my MS's didn't lose 12% capacity over three years.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

This is how I feel too. It would be a pigs flying situation for me to have the car in four years but still I'm all in on minimizing the degradation. It's an OCD thing.

Range Loss Over Time, What Can Be Expected, Efficiency, How to Maintain Battery Health

Agreed. In good weather I'm fine with a 6-8% arrival prediction when I'm at ~50-60% of the battery. I don't trust the miles based range estimates on the screen much at all. On road trips I'm watching battery percentage, consumption rates and doing my own math. I road trip a lot. My two cents -...

Why did my Tesla say “I call shotgun” while I was driving? Is it some Easter Egg? Has anyone else had this happen?

Yeah. Unfortunately my bet is the EV 718 will be more like $100K.A basic Macan EV configuration is mid-90's and I don't think the 718 will be cheaper.

Help me choose: M3P inventory vs. Highland?

Thanks. I already pulled the trigger on the LR (maybe I wasn't clear about that in my post). I'm really focused on range - possibly too much so now that the SC network is more built out. Help me choose: M3P inventory vs. Highland?

This is exactly how I saw it too. Of course for those who qualify for the tax credit, the new M3P is a terrific deal. However the range difference of ~45 miles vs. the LR was too much for me to swallow. I use my car regularly for long road trips and prioritize range over almost anything else...

@Zap! - I know you want your car and the delays are annoying, but I wouldn't sweat it. It's a bummer the new Roadster never got built. I had a Founders reservation and cancelled it after about 18 months of waiting and no news. I think there's a market for a high end electric sports car. I'd love a car that can drive itself to the track and then can handle a day of fun. I guess...
