I did get a HW3 computer upgrade I believe in 2019. I did not know that FSD today does not use any of the HD4 capabilities. I had thought that it might be using the updated cameras. There also was confusing information about Tesla not using the radar and relying only on the improved cameras...

You are right about the upgrade to HW 3 computer. I was hoping that Tesla would continue to provide hardware updates to get me to the FSD capabilities! However, I expect to get only software updates. Thanks for the reply.

I was wondering if Tesla plans to provide a 3D visualization capability with Parking Assistance using the cameras. It would help me in parking the car in tight spots. I have two similar lines to mark the width of the car since my garage door has just a few inches on each side beyond the width of the car. I have not found a way to use these lines by the car. I have 2018 Model S with 2024.2.7. I am not sure if my car is using cameras for Autopark beyond my garage.

I could have avoided a parking scrape which caused a damage of over $4000 on the right side of my 2018 Tesla S with FSD if I have a blind spot view. I hope they invest in the software update to enable this feature. We don't have a 360 deg view and this is the next best thing.

I miss the option where FSD would ask your permission to change lanes. Also, I find FSD dangerous when merging on a highway at 35 mph when the traffic is moving at 60 mph. One has to use FSD selectively.

I have not been able to use autopark for a while. I hope that 2022.45.11 has an improved version.
